Participant 5: I use TIPIANS three days in a week.

Participant 6: I use it three times a week.

Participant 7: I use TIPIANS last year ago.

QUESTION 3: Does wireless fidelity contribute to your school works? Give types of

academic works that wireless fidelity helps you with.

Participant 1: Yes, it helps because it is more convenient than mobile data.

Participant 2: I use wireless fidelity because in school we need to search for

information. Wireless fidelity is important in our school works like research in the

RRL part.

Participant 3: Wireless fidelity helps because it gives information about a topic.

Participant 4: It helps because wireless fidelity can help me in my assignment.

Participant 5: We can search information for free.

Participant 6: It helps in my school works like assignments

Participant 7: It benefits me to do assignment in school.

QUESTION 4: Does the use of TIPIANS wireless fidelity make school works easier?

Explain.

Participant 1: No, because TIPIANS has a slow connection.

Participant 2: Yes, because we can easily access information.

Participant 3: Sometimes, we use it to research information.

Participant 4: TIPIANS doesn’t really help me.

Participant 5: It benefits us because TIPIANS is free and we don’t need to go to

computer shops to access internet.

Participant 6: It helps me in my academic works.

Participant 7: It helps become easier to students, for example, we can now see our

grades in online platforms like ARIS.

QUESTION 5: Do students know the effects of wireless fidelity to all the students?

Participant 1: Students use wireless fidelity to play online games.

Participant 2: It has a good effect to students but when students abuse the usage

of it, it will lead to bad effects.

Participant 3: It has a good effect because to those students who cannot afford

wifi, they can easily connect for free.

Participant 4: It is reliable because we can access information.

Participant 5: It has a good effect because I can manage how I use wifi.

Participant 6: Wireless fidelity helps in my school works but sometimes it becomes

a distraction.

Participant 7: It benefits me especially in school.

QUESTION 6: What are the advantages of wireless fidelity to the students?

Participant 1: The advantage of wireless fidelity is that I can easily search

information.

Participant 2: School works will be much easier to do.

Participant 3: It helps me in my studies as a student.

Participant 4: It is faster to use wireless fidelity than mobile data.

Participant 5: It helps us to search information. Especially if there is a high signal.

Participant 6: It is fast, reliable and easy to access.

Participant 7: It helps in our study as a student.

QUESTION 7: What are the disadvantages of wireless fidelity to the students?

Participant 1: The disadvantage of wireless fidelity to students is when you have a

low signal in your mobile devices, you cannot search anything in the internet.

Participant 2: Students will lack energy to do things in their own and always rely

on wi-fi.

Participant 3: It distracts students especially when overusing wireless fidelity to

play online games.

Participant 4: Students can sometimes get addicted to social media and online

games.

Participant 5: It distracts students in some of their activities in school. For

example, a student uses wi-fi to do non-academic related things in their gadget

while they are having a grouping.

Participant 6: As I said, it sometimes become a distraction in students’ learning.

Participant 7: It distracts students especially the overuse of online games.

B. THEMATIC

QUESTION 1: Does students access and use TIPIANS wireless fidelity inside the

campus?

- Five out of seven participants are using TIPIANS Wireless fidelity inside the

campus.

QUESTION 2: How frequent do students use TIPIANS wireless fidelity?

- Three out of seven participants are using TIPIANS wireless fidelity three days

in a week.

QUESTION 3: Does wireless fidelity contribute to your school works? Give types of

academic works that wireless fidelity helps you with.

- Six out of seven participants use wireless fidelity to search new information and

admitted that it can help in their assignments and research.

QUESTION 4: Does the use of TIPIANS wireless fidelity make school works easier?

Explain.

- Five out of seven participants agreed that TIPIANS wireless fidelity can help

school works become easier.

QUESTION 5: Do students know the effects of wireless fidelity to all the students?

- Six out of seven participants answered that wireless fidelity has a good effect,

but they believe excessive usage of wireless fidelity can lead to negative effects.
QUESTION 6: What are the advantages of wireless fidelity to the students?

- Six out of seven participants agreed that wireless fidelity has an advantage of

accessing information and making school works easier to do.

QUESTION 7: What are the disadvantages of wireless fidelity to the students?

- Three out of seven participants said that the disadvantage of wireless fidelity is

that it distracts the students from learning because of the excessive use of online

games.

C. RELATED LITERATURE

In the results, the participants used wireless fidelity to search information that could help

in their assignments and research. In connection with this result, Naydanova, E., Beal, B., & Doty,

H. (2018), stated that school works like assignments has been migrating to online learning

environments. Shehu, Urhefe and Promise (2015) also stated that many participants strongly

agreed that wireless fidelity contains more information. Students access online information for the

purpose of completing their academic tasks. The participants argued that wireless fidelity has a

good effect but also comes with a negative effect. It becomes negative because the participants

believe that excessive use of wireless fidelity like using online games is bad for the students. As

relation to this result, Ravizza, S., Hambrick, D., & Fenn, K. (2014) observes that students who

has high usage of wireless fidelity is associated with lower test grade, which is a negative effect.

It has a good effect too which was claimed by Chambers (2010) that wireless fidelity is playing a

key role on student learning. The participants also uses wireless fidelity for online grade viewing

in student portals, which is related to Oghenetega and Igere‘s (2014) study because they stated that

wireless fidelity has been an instrument for accessing academic portals like grade viewing and
inputting. The participants answered that some students use wireless fidelity to have non-academic

activities in social media, those students use social media for hours which will have negative

effects. In connection with the study of Ndaku (2013), the use of social media among students has

reached high levels and has affected their study time.
