1. Name of learning activity:

Title: Change the ending of the story

2. What did you hope your students would learn from this learning activity?

The students have read and retold the story in the previous lesson. First, students will
answer true/false questions in power point mix. This is to check their understanding of the
story. Second, I want them to think and discuss the conflicts happened in the story between Aloo
and himself, Aloo and his mother, mother and herself and Aloo and society. They will share
their thoughts about the conflicts happened in the story with others through OneNote online.
They will get a chance to read others' opinions about the conflicts happened in the story. They also
learn to compare and evaluate a variety of thoughts of the story. Next, students will write a
new ending for the story by groups. They will write it in the form of dialogue script form in ms
word. Then, they need to send it through email to the teacher. Teacher will check the
grammatical errors in the script and email it back to the students. It will be their final draft.
After that, the students have to role play the dialogue script of ending in the class by groups.
They will demonstrate the ending of the story through the role play to others in the class. Teacher
will evaluate the role plays and choose the best ending.
