Procedure to be adopted for MSBTE Approval for Appointments of
Teachers in AICTE Recognized Polytechnics.

1) Procedure for new appointments of the teachers.

2) Procedure for existing teachers before the issue of the circular

a) Government Polytechnics / Institutes

Procedure for MSBTE approval of existing teachers in Government Polytechnics

Data in soft form of the teachers who have been appointed by MPSC shall be
furnished to MSBTE. All modifications on such respect made by DTE shall be
furnished from time to time

b) Government aided/ non aided Polytechnics / Institutes

Procedure for MSBTE approval of existing teacher in Govt. Aided / Non-Aided

Polytechnics.

Polytechnic / Institute shall send the detail proposal for the approval of teachers to the
MSBTE which should include the list of the teachers (as per proforma approved by
MSBTE and given in annexture-6 along with letter of approval from DTE.

 Chapter - 1

1. Procedure for approval of the teaching faculty of institute

affiliated to MSBTE – for new appointment of Faculty

1.1 The number of total post for all disciplines should be calculated as per
the AICTE & MSBTE norms & teaching load as per curriculae.

1.2 Roaster for all the post shall be approved from concerned authority
(The Assistant Commissioner of the respective Revenue Division) as
per G.R. BCC/2009/serial No 291/09/16-B dated 5th Nov 2009.

1.3 The institute shall submit the information regarding the number of
vacant post to be filled to MSBTE in the prescribed format (Refer
Annexure 1.1) before publishing the advertisement after the approval
of the roaster from concerned authority.

1.4 Institute shall publish advertisement for recruitment of faculty in at

least two leading news papers as per prescribed format given by the
MSBTE (Refer Annexure 1.2).

1.5 Institute shall constitute a selection committee for recruitment of

faculty as per the norms laid down by the MSBTE (Refer Annexure
1.3). Conduct of interviews / screening test as per guidelines and
suggestion by MSBTE representatives and other members of selection
committee.

1.6 The institute shall submit the recommendation of the selection

committee along with summary report (Refer annexure 1.4) in the
prescribed format (Refer Annexure 1.5 – every page duly signed by
members of the selection committee) to the MSBTE for final approval.

1.7 The institute shall appoint the selected candidate within a month only
after the final approval from MSBTE.

2. Procedure for approval of the teaching faculty of institute

affiliated to MSBTE – for existing faculty

2.1 The institute shall submit the information regarding the existing
teachers appointed on regular basis in a specified format (Refer
Annexure 2.1).

2.2 The number of total post for all disciplines should be calculated as per
the AICTE & MSBTE norms & teaching load as per curriculae.

2.3 Roaster for all the post shall be approved from concerned authority
(The Assistant Commissioner of the respective Revenue Division) as
per G.R. BCC/2009/serial No 291/09/16-B dated 5th Nov 2009 or any
other relevant G.R. of Government of Maharashtra.

2.4 The Institute shall submit the following supporting documents along
with the proposal.
2.4.1 Copy of the approved Roaster by the competent authority
2.4.2 DTE Approval letter if any
2.4.3 Copy of AICTE Norms at the time of appointment of faculty
2.4.4 Individual faculty profile (Refer Annexure 2.2) along with
proof of educational qualification (graduation & above), date of
birth, caste certificate, experience certificate if any etc.
2.4.5 Individual faculty appointment letter.

2.5 Constitution of Scrutiny Committee
