Lesson Plan in TLE

I. Objectives
At the end of the class, students are expected to do the following with 80%
accuracy:
a. Identify the different body measurement for ladies apparel
b. Demonstrate how to take body measurement for ladies apparel
c. Appreciate the importance of taking body measurement accurately by
giving example of day to day experiences

II. Subject Matter

Main Topic : How to Take Body Measurement for Ladies Apparel


Reference : K to 12 Technology and livelihood Education Curriculum
Dressmaking and Tailoring
pages 25-28
Materials : Power Point Presentation, LCD Projector, and Tape Measurement

III. Procedure

a. Preliminary Activity

Questions:
1. What are the two major parts of the lockstitch sewing
machine?
2. The upper part is composed of what? What are those 3?
3. What are the upper and lower parts of the lockstitch
sewing machine?

b. Motivation

The teacher will show a picture and ask the students to differentiate the two
picture.

c. Lesson Proper

The students will be group into 3, using numbered heads together. Each member
of the group is assigned with a number. Using power point presentation, the teacher
will flash a question about taking body measurement. The number that will be called
are the ones who are going to identify and write the correct answer on the board. The
first who can write the correct answer will earn 2 points and will earn another 2 points
if their group can correctly demonstrate how that certain body measurement is taken.

IV. Analysis

1. Why is it important to take accurate body measurement?


2. Site an example of the importance of taking accurate body
measurement of day to day experiences.

V. Generalization

Taking accurate body measurement is important to achieve a good quality and


well fitted garment.

VI. Evaluation
