A standard small car battery is about 45 amp hours.

Capacity of the Battery:- It is measured in Ah/mAh. The battery has

limited number of electron it can pass through the circuit. The capacity
of battery is measure by discharging at a constant rate until it reaches
Terminal Voltage.

1Ah means battery can supply 1 amp current for 1 hr or 2 amp current
for 1/2 hr till it reaches terminal voltage.

For example: A typical specification of battery is 12V 7Ah. In ideal

condition if your load is consuming 1A current, then it will last for 7
hour.

If you charge your battery at a 10-amp rate and you need to replace 36
amp-hours in the battery. To determine how long (in hours) you will
need to charge your battery, divided 36 by 10 = 3.6 or 3.6 hours to
recharge your battery.

Ah (Ampere-Hour)

Ah rate refers to the battery’s storage capacity and is the current a fully
charged battery will deliver over a specific period before the voltage
falls to 10.50V at 25°C. This capacity decreases as the rate of discharge

increases. For example a battery rated at 120Ah @ 20hr will deliver 6

Amps for 20 hours. If the same battery was discharged at 20 Amps
instead of 6 Amps, the battery would only last approximately 5 hours.
