Session 14: Cyber Safe Lesson Plan


Duration of 2 hours/120 minutes

Key
Understandin The cyber safe lesson plans are introduced (history, development
gs to be process, implementation experiences, lesson topics and structures)
developed The experiential learning method is explained, coupled with an actual
demonstration on 1 sample lesson to illustrate the experiential
learning method

Learning At the end of the session, the participants shall:


Objectives  be introduced to the different Cyber Safe tools/Lesson Plans
 acquire knowledge and skills to conduct Cyber Safe
classroom sessions
 explain the benefits in utilizing Cyber Safe tools;
 display a positive outlook in utilizing the Cyber Safe Lesson
Plans through writing/revising a Cyber Safe Lesson Plans
given.

Activity Activity: Bidding Game
(30 minutes)  Prior to the activity, choose 15 participants from each of the 3
clusters to represent their group .
 They shall be instructed to stay in their group.
 Let each group display all their personal belongings inside
their bags on the table. Let them count how many things are
gathered. The group with the highest bid got 10 stars.
 Let each group to lay down their money on the table. Let the
count the money. The group with the highest bid got 15 stars.
Let each group make a longest line using the things they wear
except their jewelries. The group with the highest bid got 20
stars and each member will receive the following:
1. A round trip ticket to Palawan good for two – sponsored by
Stairway foundation
2. A two-night stay in Golden Peak Hotel for free inclusions of
meals for two days with snacks – good for two
3. A gift certificates worth of 1, 000.00 from HRD Training
Team
4. A pack of goods from DepEd Ecotech Training Center
Analysis Ask the following questions:
(15 minutes)  How do you feel doing the activity?
 Ano ang pakiramdam mo ngayon?
 Ano ang mga lumabas na behaviors during the game? Bakit
mo nagawa ang mga ito?
 May mga ginawa kaba during the game na nagdalawang isip
ka or napilitan ka?
 Ano ang mga behaviors ang lumabas na risky or unsafe?
 Sa Internet, sa anong pagkakataon lumalabas ang mga
ganitong risky or unsafe behaviors?
 Papaano natin masasabi na risky or unsafe ang isang online
behavior?
 Naniwala kaba may price talaga?
 Ano ang mga natutunan mo?

Abstraction Present the power point presentation about the topic.


(25 minutes) “ Cyber Safe Lesson Plans

Application “Distribution of Lesson Plans for Demonstration”


(5 minutes) Instructions: (Each cluster has 3 groups. They were grouped already
by their class managers)
 Let each representative from each group of the 3 clusters to
come in front to pick a piece of paper that will correspond to
the topic of the cybersafe lesson of their group in which they
will be demonstrating during the Return Demo.
 Distribute the sample lesson plans to the three groups as
follows:
(Online Red Flags – group ___, Taking Care of Myself in the
Online World – group ___ and Image & Content Sharing –
group ___).

30 minutes  Instruct them to contextualize or revise the sample cybersafe


lesson plan given to them and tell them to get ready for the
return demo for the next day.
 Further instruct them to submit the contextualized/revised
lesson plan as their output.
