Alumni Meet Report 2017

Department of Computer Applications

The Alumni meet was held at the Department of Computer Applications-MCA on 7th October
2017 at 10.30am onwards.

The ceremony took off with the arrival of our alumni and their welcome with tilak and some
snacks with the teachers. The meeting was well attended by 35 alumni ranging across various
batches. We are glad that the range of alumni from 2004 batch to 2017 batch showed their
presence.

The meet was graced by our beloved Principal Dr. Gurulingappa M Patil, chairman of Alumni
association JSSATEN, HOD Management Studies Dr. Yogendra Singh, Faculty members of the
Department, Final year and Pre-Final year students.

The event then fled towards a speech by our Hon’ble Principal Dr. Gurulingappa M. Patil,
introduced by Prof. Vikas Singhal, HOD MCA during the start of the programme.

He addressed the gathering by paying the respect of the tilak at the entrance of the Department
by Ms. Kulbeer Kaur, MCA Second Year student. He clearly stated the importance of such
events in the Department, so as to improve the bonding between the faculty, students and Alma
matter.

The event showcased few cultural events by pre final year students, followed by the brief
introduction of few Alumni who shared their experience during the college days and asked the
students to have self confidence in them to achieve the goal. They also shared that how important
is to understand the course being taught during their three year MCA programme, respect to
seniors and faculty members. They also emphasized how important it is to attend all the various
activities taking place in and outside the department in the campus.

A number of commendable suggestions came up for the improvement of the department. It was
decided to strengthen the link between the current batch and alumni for their support to current
students in the area of training, placement, career counseling and any other help.

Total 35 alumnis members attended the meet. In response, few of the alumni shared their experience as well as
interesting momentsof campus life to the audience.

The event concluded by remembering once again all the alumni(s), thanking them to make
out in spite of their busy schedule for the day by HOD MCA, Prof. Vikas Singhal.

We look forward to their presence in the subsequent years of Alumni Association meet. We wish
them a successful and fruitful life ahead.
