Semester 2
The orchectra was to control the beast and talk to them.The moduel was to increase ones curiousity to
ask questions.
DRAWING MODULE
The exercise was to learn the usage of in-
struments in drawing architeectural drawing
and how different types of line weights are re-
quired to evoke different feel in the drawing
The process of analysing and understanding the anatomy of an object.
The exercise was to understand how to document a space and draw illustrative drawing
CONSTRUCTION AND TECHNOLOGY MODULE
An organizer to organise space in the studio. Task was to make the or-
ganizer stand inturn understand different forces which act on a structure.
The trip was lead by Architect Malak singh gill’s project
which was situated in Palghar. The trip focused on the
vernacular architecture which was practiced in the ru-
ral parts of Mumbai. Documentation was carried to ex-
plore the ways of construction. The trip also explored
ways, where one can have a self sustainable building.
After visiting palghar the same volume of the
house was divided into different cubic spac-
es and the house was redesined in two differ-
ent iterations from which one was further detailed
Settlement study was conducted in the village Gudda-
dahali “A village situated on a hill”, Karnataka. Here the
basic planing of a village was documented, materials
for construction were explored and socio political and
economical issues were discussed with the villagers.
The construction method will reflect different occupa-
tion group. A hands on workshop to make a cob wall was
done under the supervision of Architect Malak Singh Gill.
DESIGN MODULE
How does an insect dances? The process was to choose an insect and study its form ,and to analyse the rhytm on
which the insect dances. The analysis leads to creation of a surface or a tile on which the recorded rhythm can be per-
formed. the process was mainly looking at how is form generated and how form is takien ahed to creation of space.
