THE JOYS OF BEING A CATHOLIC

Slide 1 Happy New year brothers and sisters. As always salubungin po natin ang
Bagong Taon na inaalagaan po natin ang puso’t diwa thru our regular
catechesis.
Slide 2 At a time when our Catholic Church ay inu uga ng mga crisis at vicious
attacks left and right…dapat ang siguro mag reflect tayo why we want to
remain Catholic. Dapat pagnilayan po natin what gives us joy in being
Catholic.Ito po ang magandang pambungad natin sa Bagong Taon! Para
naman ma affirm po tayo sa pagiging Katoliko natin.
Slide 3 Where do we find real joy in being Catholics?
Slide 4 Well una sa lahat is our joy in the Eucharist. Sa bawa’t misa we are able to
receive his true Body and true Blood. Naniniwala po tayo na Nandito Siya
sa tabernacle, where we can always reach Him. We believe this with all
our heart... at para po sa atin, Jesus in the Eucharist is our Bread of Life.
Sa Kanya po tayo maaring kumuha ng lakas.. wag po tayong makuntento
na puro chi chirya lamang ang at pagkaing pang katawan lamang ang
kinakain natin… kailangan po natin ng food that gives us eternal life at
yan nga po ang Banal na Communion - The Eucharist.
Slide 5 We also find joy in the Bible. In fact, ang lahat po ng sinasambit natin at
ginagawa sa misa ay based o hinango sa Bible. Pag-uusapan pa po natin
ang Bible in future topics.
Slide 6 Syempre po we find joy in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Mahalaga po ang aklat na ito for all questions regarding our faith.
Whatever teaching, preaching o anumang isyu with regards to morality ay
covered ng librong ito. Sana pag aralan po natin ang librong ito.
Kasi po the more we discover the truths and teachings of our Catholic
faith mas lalo po nating maiintindihan ang kagandahan ng ating relihiyon,
from which we can derive true joy in Christ.
Slide 7 What else makes us happy? Aba... We are the community that
remembers Jesus... Kapag isinusuko natin ang ating buhay…as we
surrender our lives to the Lord, dyan po natin nabubuo ang tinatawag na
Mystical Body of Christ..it’s through us, through you and me that Jesus
takes flesh…we become the Body of Christ.
 Siyanga pala, lahat naman po ng Christian communities remember Jesus…
pero tayo we do it in a liturgical way, as Christ commanded and as the
early Christians did.
We can explain this more sa mga susunod na sessions natin.
Slide 8 O ano pa ba ang maganda sa Simbahang Katoliko? Aba ito po…alam nyo
ba na Catholicism has universality? Na ang Lahat po ay welcome?
Slide 9 Himayin pa po natin ang pagiging universal ng Simbahang Katoliko:
The Church is Catholic or "universal" in 2 ways
Slide 10 First, the Church is universal because Christ is present in her. Tinatanggap
ng simbahang Katoliko mula kay Hesus "the fullness of the means of
salvation." Para po sa atin Jesus is really both God and man…He is our
Lord and Savior. Hindi Siya ordinaryong propeta lamang. Ulitin po natin,
the church is universal because Jesus is present in the church.
Slide 11 Second reason why we are universal is because the Catholic church has a
mission to the whole world. Di ba kaya kumalat ang Catholic faith sa
buong mundo nung unang panahon ay dahil sa misyong ito… diba ang
ating bansa ay naging Katoliko dahil nagpunta rito ang mga Kastila nung
unang panahon ?
Slide 12 At ngayong naman ay mga Pilipino na nakakalat sa buong mundo ang
syang nag-e-evangelize sa ibang bansa . Nakakatuwa di po ba?
Tandaan po natin… even if The Catholic church remains as one,
kailangang kumalat ito sa buong mundo. Ang Diyos ang siyang may gusto
nito… that all the scattered people be gathered together. Thru the gift of
universality, the Catholic church seeks the return of all humanity under
Christ the Head (Second Vatican Council).
Slide 13 So part 1 muna po ito mga kapatid tungkol sa Joys of Being
Catholic…abangan nyo po ang part 2 next Sunday at siguradong lalu po
kayong masisiyahan. Salamat po.
