With the Programme in Project Management (PPM) you will be equipped with the necessary skills and tools to
manage projects professionally. The skills taught are applied in individual assignments that are performed in the
workplace. The PPM is a well-established programme that is currently in its 22nd year running, already having been
presented more than 163 times. Thousands of delegates from a variety of industries and government organisations
have successfully completed and benefited from the programme. The PPM is therefore well known in the industry.
The PPM is applicable to projects in all sectors of business and government.

The PPM is, to a large extent, presented by the same lecturers that present Africa’s only Master’s Programme in
Project Management that is accredited by the global accreditation centre, the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Programme structure
Option 1: Week programme
20 contact days presented over four one-week blocks of five days
each.
Option 2: Weekend offering
16 contact days (8 Fridays and 8 Saturdays)
This option accommodates delegates who cannot afford to be away
from work for 20 contact days.

Professional recognition
After successfully completing this course, suitable candidates will be
eligible to apply for professional designation as a Project Manager
(PM) conferred by Project Management South Africa (PMSA). PMSA is
the SAQA recognised professional body representing the interests of
project managers across sectors.
Programme fees
R46 373.25 per delegate (VAT incl.)
Programme fees include course material, lunch and refreshments on
contact days. For successful candidates it also includes attendance of
the Certificate Ceremony and the awarding of the certificate.

Admission requirements
Prospective delegates should at least have a National Senior
Certificate (Grade 12) with mathematics or accounting, or equivalent
and/or relevant work experience.
Delegates who wish to enrol for the Weekender offering should have
a bachelor’s degree or similar qualification and/or extensive, relevant
work experience.
Accreditation and certification
Enterprises University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd is wholly owned by the
University of Pretoria. As a public higher education institution,
the University of Pretoria functions in accordance with the Higher
Education Act 101 of 1997. Enterprises University of Pretoria offers
short courses on behalf of the University and these short courses are
not credit-bearing, and do not lead to formal qualifications on the
National Qualifications Framework (NQF) – unless stated otherwise.
Delegates who successfully complete a short course and comply
with the related assessment criteria (where applicable) are awarded
certificates of successful completion and/or attendance by the
University of Pretoria.
