Course Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

CO1 Perform each experiment correctly through established procedures and good record
keeping. [PO1, LO1, SS1]{C2}.
CO2 Analyze the basic experimental data accordingly as required by each experiment
[PO2, LO3, SS1]{C4}.
CO3 Report results and discussions for each experiment in a structured format and
professional manner [PO9, LO4, SS2]{A2}.
CO4 Organize experiments in a group either as a leader or as a member [PO10, LO9,
SS3]{A4}.

Course Description
The course consists of two parts, i.e. topic in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. It
provides the opportunity for the students to operate under supervision the various
experimental equipment’s. Students shall complete with confidence all laboratory
experiments and to relate them to theoretical understandings of thermofluid.

Course Contain

1.0 Safety Procedures, General Rules, Report Writing and Exit Interviews (4 hours)

2.0 Students are required to perform at least eight (8) of experiments listed (but
not limited to) below:

Thermodynamics Lab (12 hours)

2.1 Heat Transfer: Conduction
2.2 Heat Transfer: Convection
2.3 Heat Exchanger
2.4 Combustion Process
2.5 Refrigeration
