Objectives Students should be able to:

 Identify vocabulary relating to different types of the weather (sunny, hot,


cold, cloudy, rainy, windy snowy)

 Ask and answer basic questions about the weather

Materials and PowerPoint presentation, coursebook, info gap activity worksheet, puppet, song, ball,
equipment word cards, find your partner activity cards.

Procedure

Step 1: The teacher greet the students and they respond. They sing a hello song.
The puppet appears and reveals that he is upset because of the weather. Through the
discussion that follows, the phrase “I like/ I don’t like….weather’’ is used while target

Students put the word cards on the board in the right order to form the question:
“What’s the weather like?”. Then, they play a “find your partner” game to practice
using this question as well as the target vocabulary.
Students look at a week calendar. They add the preposition “on” and the name of a
day to the question they learned earlier to ask about the weather on a specific day.
Step 4:
(What’s the weather like on Thursday?) Students play an info gap activity with their
partner to practise using this question.

Step 5: Goodbye song.

Title: White and Black chocolate - Differences among people

Subject: HEALTH EDUCATION

Objectives Students should:


 Realise that all people have differences between them
 Understand how these differences affect their behavior
 Find the negative feelings that are caused by not accepting
these differences
 Suggest ways of dealing with differences

Procedure

Step 1: Students sit in a circle. They have their own lemon fruit and
teacher has an orange. They all put their fruits in a basket and
try to recognize their fruit. They conclude that this is not as
easy to do between lemons, as for the teacher’s orange.

Step 2: Students get some materials in order to create their special


different lemon.

come to the conclusion that even people with the same

advise her on how to think and act so that she will feel better or get
some help.

Introduction to Robotics

Objectives Students should be able to:
 Recognise the fuctions of robots and their use in our modern every day
lives.
 Design and construct a simple car (lego-we do).
 Familiarise themselves with a series of steps /instructions.
 Convert an algorithm into code using a program on a tablet.

Materials and PowerPoint presentation, lego (we do), tablets.

Procedure

Step 1: Starting Point: Demonstration with a drone. A student gives the


command from a mobile phone for the drone to move in the classroom.

Presentation on PowerPoint on what a robot is and how its functions


(basic understanding).
Step 2:
Construction of car Lego-we do and connection with the programme on
tablet and Bluetooth.

Question asked: “Can you built a robot car that it moves?”


Step 3:
The students are to program their robot to move ahead for 1 second,
backwards for 1 second and produce the sound of a dolphin using the
relevant programme on a tablet.

Step 4: The students solve another problem conserving Lego- we do and the
sensors (the car should move until reaching an obstacle, stop at the
obstacle and say “obstacle” ).

Step 5: Buzzers game. The kids play a game on the basic meanings/
understanding of robots. (Giving examples based on their initial
presentation). A question is asked and the kids press the buzzer if they
want to answer.

Objectives Students should be able:

-To detect the different forms of diversity in our lives

-To point out the importance of acceptance and respect of diversity (of any type) in
the communication and relations between people.

-To recognize the characteristics of a multimodal text.

-To get information out of multimodal text.

-To cooperate and prepare interactive activities, in relation to the processing of


multimodal texts.

Materials and Computer/projector, cards/pictures, flowers, interactive notebooks, tik-tac boom

Procedure

Step 1: Introduction: Welcome our guests. Saying hello in different ways. How the
different ways of saying hello (and an activity we did one day ago by studying
different ways of saying hello in different countries/cultures) are connected
with our lemons (previous activity) and the vase of flowers (first be seen by
children).
Students make hypothesis for the subject/topic of the day’s lesson.

Step 2: Students find out their secret messages (1 different word for each team/
words: empathy, self-discovery, acceptance, uniqueness, diversity, equality)
and when they present them, they connect them with the lesson’s topic.

Step 3: Cards on the floor. Our guests (and 1 student from each team) choose a
card/picture that represents their hypothesis.
Step 4: We discusss/present the 3 activities (from their interactive notebooks) students
will do after watching a video (multimodal text).
Question on the board (as a concern for ‘investigation’): Except of the video’s
topic, which of its characteristics lead the teacher in her choice, concerning
that our lesson is been watched by people that are speaking different
languages (non verbal communication, body language)
