Title: The weather Subject: English

Objectives Students should be able to:
Materials and PowerPoint presentation, coursebook, info gap activity worksheet, puppet, song, ball,
equipment word cards, find your partner activity cards.
Procedure
Step 1: The teacher greet the students and they respond. They sing a hello song.

Students put the word cards on the board in the right order to form the question:
“What’s the weather like?”. Then, they play a “find your partner” game to practice
using this question as well as the target vocabulary.
Students look at a week calendar. They add the preposition “on” and the name of a
day to the question they learned earlier to ask about the weather on a specific day.
Step 4:
(What’s the weather like on Thursday?) Students play an info gap activity with their
partner to practise using this question.

Step 1: Students sit in a circle. They have their own lemon fruit and
teacher has an orange. They all put their fruits in a basket and
try to recognize their fruit. They conclude that this is not as
easy to do between lemons, as for the teacher’s orange.

Objectives Students should be able to:
Recognise the fuctions of robots and their use in our modern every day
lives.
Design and construct a simple car (lego-we do).
Familiarise themselves with a series of steps /instructions.
Convert an algorithm into code using a program on a tablet.
Step 4: The students solve another problem conserving Lego- we do and the
sensors (the car should move until reaching an obstacle, stop at the
obstacle and say “obstacle” ).
Step 5: Buzzers game. The kids play a game on the basic meanings/
understanding of robots. (Giving examples based on their initial
presentation). A question is asked and the kids press the buzzer if they
want to answer.

Objectives Students should be able:
-To point out the importance of acceptance and respect of diversity (of any type) in
the communication and relations between people.
Procedure
Step 1: Introduction: Welcome our guests. Saying hello in different ways. How the
different ways of saying hello (and an activity we did one day ago by studying
different ways of saying hello in different countries/cultures) are connected
with our lemons (previous activity) and the vase of flowers (first be seen by
children).
Students make hypothesis for the subject/topic of the day’s lesson.
Step 2: Students find out their secret messages (1 different word for each team/
words: empathy, self-discovery, acceptance, uniqueness, diversity, equality)
and when they present them, they connect them with the lesson’s topic.
Step 3: Cards on the floor. Our guests (and 1 student from each team) choose a
card/picture that represents their hypothesis.
Step 4: We discusss/present the 3 activities (from their interactive notebooks) students
will do after watching a video (multimodal text).
Question on the board (as a concern for ‘investigation’): Except of the video’s
topic, which of its characteristics lead the teacher in her choice, concerning
that our lesson is been watched by people that are speaking different
languages (non verbal communication, body language)
Step 7: Discuss some more activities from their notebooks, concerning the next video.
