Student Teaching Program
Being a student teacher, we are assign and teach how to maintain discipline and
control that is organize and manages the class time well. To maintain a warm and friendly
atmosphere that is conducive to learning. And most importantly being a student teacher
you must explain your lesson in a clear and well-modulated voice, shows confident, and
shows the mastery of the subject matter. Teaching is difficult, you are going to have rough
days, and you are going to need help sometimes. Having confidence is crucial for a great
student teaching experience that we have. Students need to see that their teacher knows
what he or she is talking about. They need a teacher that demands respect. When I first
started as a student teacher, I was awkward and unsure of myself. I was not sure what my
cooperating teacher would think, and I worried about how my students would perceive a
teacher who did not look old enough to teach in the first place. As I fell into my groove
and gained more confidence as a teacher, I found that my students not only respected me
but felt more comfortable talking to me, too. Confidence meant I could be myself while
The student teaching experience allows you to put everything that you have learned
about education and your subject matter into action. You get to test the waters under the
supervision of an experienced teacher who can guide you along and help you become the
kind of teacher that you want to be. If you embrace the opportunity, you can learn a lot
preparing each lesson plan. We have to work hard to research different ways to present
the information for each lesson. Moreover, looked for activities that our students would
enjoy, and made sure that all of the materials and other things that needed before class
started. Even then, there were always things that would go wrong technology would fail.
Students would complete activities quicker than planned. On the other hand, students
but, more importantly, I needed to prepare to be flexible and know how to manage a class
that have a different type of students that I will have to encounter once I will be teach
them. You never know what is going to come up or what will catch the students’ attention.
In addition, when creating lessons, remember that you need to be prepare for changes.
Figure out alternative activities in order to help your day go as smoothly as possible and
As a future teacher, you must be sensitive to what is happening inside the classroom;
during discussion and activities, because you are not just there to give knowledge to the
students but you will also acting as their full time classroom teacher. It is important to have
a set of guidelines and rules that you are strict on from the beginning of the class. You have
to show to the students that you are serious when it comes to class.

November 20, 2017 was my first meeting with my cooperating teacher in our
school, OLSHCO, Ms. Jergenie Red R. Espania. She was good in English in fact I really
admire her because she is good in pronunciation. When we were having our conversation,
about the schedule and all other things that I need know about my teaching she treated me
like a real teacher, she gave me the topic that I need to discuss for the third quarter. She
also gives me ideas on how can I present my lesson, during that day she already asked me
to observe her so that I will get idea on how to handle the grade 8 students and also given
me ideas on how can I formulate my rules inside the classroom. She was so approachable
After my first week of observing, the students were very welcoming despite having
to adjust to another teacher that will teach them to the following week, the students were
immediately interested in getting to know me. They say that the behavior of 8-Loyalty is
different to the other section because they are noisy, not paying attention on what the
teacher discuss in front of the class and so on. Nevertheless, they prove me wrong because
in my first week of observing, I saw in them the passion, and eagerness to learn.
December 11, 2017, is the day that I started teaching in 8-Loyalty, by the time that
I entered the class I introduced myself and saying that I will be the one who will teach them

February 21, was the day that we practice teachers deployed in San Andres High
School together with our supervising instructress Ms. Eden Ratcho. Mrs. Evangeline, my
cooperating teacher, was the one who choose where we are going to assign to teach what
grade year level and section. Ma’am Evangeline, my cooperating teacher, was not just a
simple and humble teacher in the school, because of her look and presence but because
also of her seriousness and heart in teaching. The students are interested every time she
teaches because according to them they enjoyed the lesson. This inspiring feedback coming
from his/her students challenged me to improve my teaching skills and make my lesson
enjoyable. By using effective teaching-learning process using appropriate strategies.
February 26, 2018, is the day that I started teaching in San Andres in Gas 11 and
second day was grade 8 Luzon and Mindanao. I really pursued to finish my learning plan
particularly the development of the lesson one week before I start to teach them. By the
time that I entered the class, I introduced myself saying that I will be the one who will teach
them in ESP in grade 8 and religion in Gas 11. After that, I give the only rules that I state

Evangeline and to Ma’am Amy, their teacher. Also, give respect for the teacher, respect
for the fellow students, respect who is talking in front, and lastly give respect for
themselves.
I teach to them with a sense of community and belongingness in the classroom.
Respect them as my students and value their ideas and opinions so that they would feel
safe to express their feelings. And of course possess a good listening skills and take time

Working with the Students
(In Campus)
Working with the students at first, I did not know what to do on how to be able to deal
with them but later on, I learned how to mingle to them. I just need to be friendly with
them to win their trust, respect and love. As their practice teacher, you must know and
understand your students so that you can easily cope and get them. Handing grade 8 loyalty
students was exiting and a little bit nervous because at their age and level they were really
keen observer so that you must be careful in everything that you wanted to say and most
specially because they will always rely on what have you showed to them.
In the short time that I am with them, I had many memories with my students that
I will never forget. They made me a real teacher; they showed me respect and
thoughtfulness. They made me feel like a family member. So, for Grade 8-Loyalty, I am
very thankful that I am handled a section that I treated me like a REAL TEACHER. I am
very glad, that we had a great time to build a harmoniously relationship together.

Working with the community was good and entertained; they were very friendly and
nice. As we started practice teaching, the community treated us like real teachers.
The OLSHCO community has a friendly environment. Starting from the students, the non-

all possessing positive characteristics that I observed. There is a high degree of mutual
respect with one another. Working with them was good and entertained; they were very

Inside the community, I can say that I had a good relationship with the people
around me. Whenever I walked in the hallway of school when I see teachers,
administrators, and school staff. I always gave them a smile and greetings, just simple say
“good morning ma’am/sir” or “good afternoon ma’am/sir”. Saying little things to them or
a big smile, you are showing that you had a good relationship with them. One thing that I
experienced during my practice teaching. Even I am not handling only one, I am very glad

Human Beings are naturally social creatures- we crave friendship and positive
interactions, just as we do food and water. For all these years that my co-teachers and I
have been through, I can say that we had our relationships with each other. I cannot say
that it is a “perfect relationship” but we have also difficulties in our life. Our duties is more
We had different time for our practice teaching but we made sure that when one of
us needed our help we gave our time for him or her. Student teacher experience was very
hard and busy, for preparing lesson plans, checking of papers, recording scores and so on,
but despite of that working with my co students teacher was good that we still saw each
other and even though were busy still we seek time for bonding, sharing experiences and

co-student teachers inspired me too. We shared, helped, guide and assisted one another. I
learned that in anything you do, you could not accomplish it by yourself itself because there
are times that you needed a companion to finish the task you are doing. Even if there are
times that some of my fellow practice teacher argue in some little things, but in the end of
the day, they make way to solve the problem that they got into.
Working with them and the experiences that we share was very hard and busy,

This was really a great memories that we had for a years. We treat each other
like a brother, sisters, and best friends; differ in status in life, attitudes, character,
religions, and beliefs but our relationships extended like a family – committed and being
love.
Initial Demonstration Teaching
(In Campus)
January 30, 2018 was my Initial Demonstration. When I first was planning my
initial demo topic, I was not sure what I should choose but thanks to my cooperating teacher
because she help me to choose and guide me in demonstration. My observers is Our Dean,
Rubelyn M. Esperon, together with my cooperating teacher, Ms. Jergenie Red Espania.
When they arrived in our room and gave a signal that I could start, I was nervous, but I
started the class by an opening prayer led by my student and followed by a greeting. It was
followed then by a short review of our yesterday’s lesson. After having a review, I
presented a picture analysis; afterwards I ask them some questions regardless to what they
noticed in the picture, to introduce our new lesson, which is temptation. Nevertheless, I
feel the demo itself went well, the discussion, the activities that I gave, up to the very last
part of the lesson. I was not as nervous as I thought I should be. It made me feel better and
lighter because they made the flow of the discussion to go smoothly than I expected.
Final Demonstration Teaching
(Off Campus)
The day that every student teacher waited was the day of the final demonstration
teaching. Some said that day was the day of the final verdict. That was the day that every
student teacher felt mixed emotions. There were feeling of excitement and nervousness. I
woke up at exactly 4:30 in the morning. 30 minutes earlier than the usual time, I woke up.
While on my way to school, I was thinking that was the day, I would conduct teaching in
front of not only my class but also in front of the observers. Already arrived in the school
that very early in the morning. I was expecting that it was very early and my co-practice
teacher would come later than that time but I was wrong because they are also early than
the usual.
By the time that my cooperating teacher arrived and our building and room was
opened because she was the one who was holding the key, I immediately prepared the
materials that I would use in my final demonstration teaching. I started to prepare it because
demonstration. She was the one who was busy preparing the classroom while I was busy
preparing my instructional materials. My students were also helping me. They were
cleaning the room. They arranged the chairs and wiped the tables and cabinet. I was
thankful that they helped me. I was very happy that they supported me.
I observed that all of the cooperating teachers were busy assisting my co-
student teachers for their final demonstration teaching, like what my cooperating teacher
did. She was supportive regarding my final demonstration teaching. After I had finished
preparing my instructional materials, I arranged the folders containing the evaluation sheet
It was already 11:00 when our Dean went out of the classroom. I knew I would
be the next and it was the sign that I was the next to be observed and it was the moment I
started my final demonstration teaching. I felt my heart was beating so fast that it seemed
I would have heart attack and faint, because of the nervousness that slowly crept in me.
When they arrived in our room and gave a signal that I could start, I was nervous,
but I knew I had to give my best to make my final demonstration teaching to be successful.
To lessen the tense and to feel lighter I took a deep breath and made a sign of the cross. I
said to myself “You can do it, Just think that you and your students are only in this room,
greeting. It was followed then by a short review of our yesterday’s lesson. After having a
review, I presented a video presentation to introduce our new lesson, which was bullying
by then on they got interested and focuses to the video. After the video presentation, as I
ask them some questions regarding to the video. After that, we move on to the discussion
of the lesson. Every time I ask them if they understand the lesson they answer me in chorus
say’s nuggets, by then it meant that they understood the lesson. It made me feel better and
lighter because they made the flow of the discussion to go smoothly than I expected.
I believed that I did give all my best to succeed my final demonstration teaching.
Nevertheless, I also believed that these would not be a success if it were only me. I passed
these challenge because of the support my cooperating teacher. She helped me a lot in
improving myself. As well as, it went well because of the cooperation of my students. Most
The challenges that I encountered both in, in and off campus is that first the
behavior management of the students. This is possibly one of the most significant
challenges I faced as a being a student teacher. I know that classes are made up of students
with differing interest, abilities, and knowledge for this reason; I faced the challenge of
meeting the variety of needs they are confronted with. I try to do this through the lessons I
prepared. Second, you need to know your subject thoroughly, you need to prepare well and
should be a master of your subject matter, because if you are not clear, the students are
never going to understand the lesson. You need to be ready to answer any question anytime.
The third one is that accepting that despite your effort, some students are still not going to
understand. You have to accept the fact that sometimes no matter how much you try,
despite all of your efforts, some students are still not going to understand it at ll. No matter
how many examples you give or how many case stories you narrate. Therefore, that go
back to the student a couple of days later and try again; see if that makes a different. Lastly,
the maintenance and staff of the school. My student teaching experience has been the best,
most informational and inspiring experience in that happened in me throughout the year.
Generally, I had a great time with my students, and I could not have asked for a better
report with my cooperating teacher. I felt supported from day one, and he gave me the
confidence I needed to keep progressing. Interacting with my students was fantastic, and I
was very surprised at how much my students taught me, from everything to relationships
to school practices.
More specifically, there were three parts of my student teaching experience that
stick out to me as the most important strengths for the semester: relationships, planning
and time management. Throughout the semester, I was able to create a great atmosphere in
my classrooms. I was a little worried about a few of my classes early on, but as I have to
know the students better and establish relationships with them, the problems mostly
vanished. Once I established those connections and relationships with students, it was easy
to tell that they bought into what I was teaching them considerably more. They started to
ask more questions, be more interested in the topics and generally have fun with learning
history. However, my relationships with students were not the only relationships that went
well this semester. I would also say that my relationships with the staff here at OLSHCO
and San Andres High School went very well. I sustained a great working relationship with
my cooperating teacher, as well as other teachers in the different department. There was
other staff in the school, which I grew very fond of as well; specifically, the old woman in
I learned many things through my student teaching experience, which will shape
the way I teach for years to come. The biggest and most important thing I learned during
student teaching is to be confident. In the beginning of the semester, I was a little timid
with my students, even while presenting them information that I know backwards and
forwards. After a couple weeks, however, I was more comfortable in front of the class.
This experience has taught me that students are much more likely to buy into your class
and listen to you when you come in with a positive and confident demeanor. Once I gained
my confidence in the class, I had more fun with teaching, and my students had more fun as
well. My increased confidence levels definitely translated to the students doing better in
class, and even worked to stem some of the problems I had with classroom management.
Respect for myself and my students ties into this as well, and is closely related to the
relationships you have with students. I learned that respect and confidence would go a long
way in terms of connecting and maintaining relationships with your students, which does

B. Family Background
This case study is all about the student who always catch my attention. His
behavior is differ from his classmates. I can say that this student is very active at all
times, and there are times that he tried to bully his classmates. When it comes to
in the first period I tried to know him better, I heard that this boy is from the lower
section and transfer to the first section. In fact, he was not efficient when it comes to
study. He is lazy when it comes to passing requirements and even in the examination
period. He is very stubborn, but in the other side of him, he is very active and jolly
person. He is a joker in the class. Alvin was one of my students in grade-8 Mindanao.

As I observed to him, I can see a boy who often seek attention from his family

This part present the information and finding with the child.
Alvin is a small boy with a very slim body built. He has a dark complexion and he

is a grade 8 student because of his look. In the physical development of the child, he id

is a common behavioral disorder that affects about 10% of the school age children.
When it comes to intellectual development, I can say that this student cannot easily
understand the lesson. However, if you tried to motivate him to answer he can. In fact, he
