Why:
Cheese ball is a snack that ‘everybody’ can enjoy.

Cheese is an always-on trend product, especially for

teenagers and children. That is the reason why we choose
the cheese ball to be our main product which will be
evaluated and developed based on our ideas and our
target customers. The cheese ball is easy to make and
very cheap. So, what is special about our cheese ball? To
satisfy customers who are on diet, the cheese ball that we
are going to make is not what we all familiar with
because this is a healthier version of it because of the air-
frying method which is the process of cooking without
using any oil.

The palatable color of it, deliciousness, unique

flavors, and the most important, it is way healthier than a
normal version of cheese ball. These are the main factors
that attract customers to buy our product.

Analysis

The first student market theme is “International
food,” so every stall will sell food, beverage, or
snack. We have to compete with other stalls to
attract the customers faster, so they will not be full
before getting to our stall. There is a stall in the
canteen that sells a cheese ball like us, but their
cheese ball is using oil to fry and do not have any
interesting seasonings. They also do not have any
promotion for their product.

Operational Plan
- Product recipe
After comparing the price and quantity, we found
one store that sells these frozen cheese ball named “ ta-
cha-lorm frozen food”. We use frozen cheese ball with
high quality from Ta-Cha-lorm that is a really popular
company for frozen-fried foods. For lava cheese, it is 90
baht per 15 balls, chocolate is 155 baht per 40 balls,
bacon cheese is 180 baht per 40, and normal cheese is
155 baht per 40 balls.

Another ingredient is seasoning. We will do the

survey to see what the customers prefer for the cheese
ball. However, we have found an online shop in Shopee
that sold the seasonings which were 50 baht per 100
gram. The seasonings of this shop have no chemical
added ingredients and also no monosodium glutamate
which is really bad for health.

The last ingredient is tomato sauce, we did the

research about its price and we found out a lot of
different prices rate. We agreed to use Rosa that is not the
cheapest, but comparing the quality and price, this brand
is the best one that we can find.

Making cheese ball, we should start with the frozen

cheese ball. Letting them rest in room temperature to
defrost them before putting in the air-fryer. When the
cooking process begins, the cheese ball should be
completely defrosted. Cooking them in the air-fryer for
15 to 30 minutes depends on the amount, sizes, and
flavor of the cheese ball. The original one has to use
more time to cook in order to make the cheese stretch.
When they are cooked, they should be rested on the tray
to cool down, so the crust will be crunchy and tasty.

Equipment List

We are going to cook our cheese ball by using an

air fryer. Two of us have the air fryer at home, so they
will bring it on the student market day. Before we put
cheese ball into the air fryer, we unpacked cheese ball
from the bag and put it on a tray which one of our team
bring it from their home in order to separate the cheese
balls into 4 sections from their flavors that are cheese,
cheese lava, chocolate lava, and bacon cheese. We will
use the tong that one of us will bring it on the market day
instead of using our hand to pick up cheese ball, so
cheese ball will be cleaner and look better. When our
cheese ball is finished, we take them off and put them on
a tray again to cool them down and get ready to sell those
cheese ball. We will serve our cheese ball in a paper
plate with a wooden stick. We buy the paper plates from
the macro which cost 89 baht and the stick which is from
supermarket cost 50 baht per pack.



Action Plan

We will start by making an agreement on the

product that we were going to sell. Then we will do the
survey to inform the customers about our business, and
also to check out how people react with our product and
how many people interested in it. After getting the result,
we will adapt the customer's recommendations into our
plan. In order to be successful, we need to promote our
product. So we will make a poster and use technology as
a tool by promoting our stall on Instagram, line group, or
Facebook. We need to contact the wholesale store 2
weeks before the student market, so we can check the
quality and do the financial plan out of it. We will
distribute our work, so each of us will have their own
work to do and can participate. On the market day, we
will bring our own equipment and assigned the roles to
members so that we will work effectively on producing,
selling and promoting the product.

Our stall did a good job of presenting the product, so we
could sell the cheese balls really well in the first and the
second hours. But in the third hour, the selling slowed
down because most of the customers were full. At the
end of the market, there were still some cheese balls that
were not sold.

Finance Report

We aim to sell 205 of the cheese ball and get about
50 percents of profit. We have sold 166 cheese ball and
got the revenue from selling this for 1665 baht. When
subtracting the cost, we got 501 baht of the profit that
was 43 percents of the cost prices.
Our expectations were not changed much compared
with the actual results because the numbers were not too
different when compared to each other. Our expectation
is to sell 205 of the cheese ball but when the student
market ends we only sell 166 of them, so we have 2
packs of cheese ball left. We also wanted to get 50
percent of profit which is 582 baht, but we only gain 43
percent which is 501 baht.
