Hello, my name is Ryan Bobby Andika. I’m 22 years old and have done my bachelor degree in Geophysical Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung, in July 2018. First of all, I really want to give my biggest appreciation that you want to review my application. For someone who growth in developing Asia countries like Indonesia, an opportunity to be in the multinational company and feel international exposure could supremely meliorate his life. It can construct him into a globally-minded person in a culturally diverse environment, which is undoubtedly worthwhile to face high competition in today's globally workforce. With the same hope, I wish to apply for the job position as a Logging- While-Drilling engineer at your excellent company, Halliburton. If we talk about why I want to join this opportunity, then I would like also talk about or relate it to my future career. Sure, I want to be in the oil and gas Industry as my way and future. I always feel so excited when I’m taking part as an engineer that strived to solve for oil and gas cases, especially, me right now, as a geophysicist intern at Pertamina Hulu Energi. Being part of the G&G team study (specifically in Geophysics research) in here have made myself being exposed by many projects, such as 2D Seismic Processing PSTM for Foxtrot South East Area, comparing Simulated Annealing Inversion and Colour Inversion in Mudi Field, Seismic interpretation of Maratua Block, application of Principal Component Analysis for Well Log Analysis and seismic inversion in less than one year of my internship program. Regarding myself, I obtained my bachelor with the title "cum laude" (GPA: 3.53). My final project was about seismic imaging of sediments Lake Towuti, in Sulawesi, Indonesia and it was part of the international scientific collaboration project titled “Towuti Drilling Project.” Since in college, I am so addicted to writing and gratefully had experience as an Editor in Chief of geophysics profession-based magazine called “La-Terre Magazine” in 2017/2018, made total four papers since the end of 2017, and also actively publishing many articles of geoscience in my Medium.com account. Besides that, love to interact with many people also made me has three-time experiences as a chairman of big events and member in all geophysics related organization. I was wholly blessed that all of these experiences have shaped my leadership, time-management, and organizational skills into better. As a result, I got an award for “The Most Outstanding Student of Geophysical Engineering Department, Institut Teknologi Bandung” in April 2017. Hopefully, my experiences and comprehension in some subsurface apparatus as a geophysicist, since in college, would make me competently follow the job pace that you offer, and this is the most prominent abilities that would make me a valuable asset for Halliburton. I am looking forward to hearing from you about the opportunity to pursue a career at your excellent company.
