To Whom It May Concern:

We are writing in regards to our student teacher, Justin Losey. Let us assure you, it is a pleasure to do so. Justin has been
in our co-taught classroom for almost a full school year. Throughout this time, we have had the opportunity to observe
him in many situations. In each situation, Justin has conducted himself professionally. He is prompt, dedicated, and
prepared. In these classes, we were able to observe his writing, speaking, and reading skills--all important aspects for a
Language Arts teacher--as well as how he works with students and deals with tough deadlines. During the duration of
the year, it has become clear that Justin is one of the most motivated, conscientious, and responsible student teachers we
have come across.

As teachers for over 15 years, we have seen many student teachers come and go. Most of the time they show an average
interest in reaching students. Justin is unlike many of these previous teachers because he has gained the ability and talent
to persevere when many of his peers would give up. He always tries to the best of his ability and makes sure that his
lessons are conducted in a way that stimulates maximum learning for his students. The classroom benefits from his
delivery, his easy conversational style, and his ability to change things on the fly.

One thing that is unique about Justin’s experience with us in our co-taught classroom is his work with at-risk students
and students with special needs. Our classroom consists of 80% students with IEPs and the rest are students who have a
504 plan or an academic plan. The learning needs are vastly different from the other classes he student teaches, and
differentiation is a must on a daily, and almost minute by minute, basis. It is not easy! The students have trouble with
motivation, attention, and ability to complete tasks. We have seen Justin work side by side, patiently helping a struggling
student for an entire hour. He does not get frustrated or upset. He is calm and collected and has the ability to make
connections and help students feel cared-for and appreciated. This will make Justin an excellent candidate for any job for
which he applies.

Overall, Justin is an exceptional candidate and teacher. He will be a huge asset to whichever district hires him. We
strongly support Justin and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Sincerely yours,
