Students will be given a chart and will have to answer the questions as well as they can (questions
will include where they live, type of skin they have, and if they lay eggs)
Presentation:

The teacher will show PowerPoint to the class. The PowerPoint will contain information on
mammals, fish, amphibians, birds and reptiles. In the PowerPoint teacher will address the
vocabulary words (warm/clod blooded, classification, mammals, fish, amphibians, birds and
reptiles). Teacher will distribute cut out animals to the class. The student will be given an animal
face (mammals, fish, amphibians, birds and reptiles). They will open the flap of the animals and
write the fact about them that we mentioned in the power point presentation.
Teacher will assess the skills by the student by their verbal responses to the questions to key
vocabulary, and their ability to differentiate between mammal, reptile, birds, amphibian, fish and
explain important characteristics of the animals. Teacher will give a handout to the class in which
they are required to answer questions. Teacher will assess their understanding after going over to
the responses of the worksheet.
Extension:
In the case that there is more time at the end of the lesson, teacher will show the student a new
animal and ask the student if either mammal, reptile, birds, amphibian, fish.
