part of the UNESCO World Heritage, views of the city
from the Citadel. Cross the river for the most grandiose

building on the Pest embankment, the Parliament. For
sacred wonders, visit the tallest building in the city, Saint
Stephen’s Basilica. Heroes’ Square will give you
a peek into the romantic past of the coun-
try. When you’re done with the must-
sees, leave the main streets behind,

A metro station (line 2) is close to the
competition venue. Accreditation does not
give access to use public transport.
All participants must get their tickets
directly at the metro station
(one-way ticket in Budapest
costs 350 HUF= 1 €).

MASCOT- CHAMPLION
Fans of wrestling decided on the name of the
World Championships’ mascot. Nearly 600 of
our followers sent us name suggestions while
almost 10.000 people participated in the vot-
ing. Champlion won by more than 3.000 voters
– a wordplay compiled from the words “cham-
pion” and “lion”.

by your delegation in Athena, the Organizing
Committee will transport you first
to the accreditation

Shuttle bus will transport you there and back from the competition venue.
The hotel is located close to the venue (5 minutes by shuttle bus).
The departure place is at your hotel. The departure schedule will be displayed
at the hotel as well. Laszlo PETERI will also have this information.

their relative will have to pay additional costs of EUR 35/ day (breakfast included),
plus EUR 20 each additional meal (lunch or dinner).

please give the full name of your guests before 1st October 2018 to Mr. Laszlo Péteri.

Check out on the 24th October: before 11:00am.

Check in on the 24th October: from 2:00pm.
Referees from Group 2 will not be able to extend their stay and referees from
Group 3 will not be able to arrive earlier due to hotel capacity.
If you would like to do so, please book your own room somewhere else.
During the entire competition
Based on UWW referees’ schedule, if you will have a day off, Hungarian Wrestling Federation
will provide exciting programs (sightseeing, Szechenyi bath- spa experience).
