REACTION PAPER ABOUT “ANG PAGBABALIK”
BY JOSE CORAZON DE JESUS
The poem is all about love for our native country and on
how can we express or show our love for our homeland in
different ways, manners, means, tactics, and form. The poem
inspires all Filipinos and even Filipinos in heart to show our
love, respect, and also to show that we are proud to be a
Filipino.
This poem is also about how we became ourselves today, how
we became as a whole person, how we became complete, and how
we’re shaped or molded by help, support, and assistance of our
beloved country.
In the first paragraph it is stated there that there is no
love that is purer and greater than the love that we give for
our native country. But for me there is, our love for Jesus
Christ can be the purest and greatest love that we can give. It
is unconditional, eternal, sublime, faithful and especially most
scared love that can we give.
The author of this poem, Andres Bonifacio wants to show to
the readers especially we, Filipinos, that it is important and
necessary to us to serve well our country, to show respect for
our country, because it represents ourselves. If didn’t respect
our country it also means that we didn’t respect ourselves too.
This literary work inspires all people to give their selves
to their own country, to serve their country, to respect their
country, to appreciate their country, and to give value to their
country, because if you value your country it means that you are
a responsible citizen.
Overall, the literary work of Bonifacio is very useful,
inspiring, meaningful, and good for those who didn’t give
respect and love our country just like criminals; corrupt
government officials, drug users, drug pushers, drug lords and
etc. To enlightened their minds to do good for our country
instead of doing crimes that affects the image of our beloved
country.
As a Filipino citizen and as a student it is my duty to do
good things for our country, to study hard, and to help it
progress.
