REACTION PAPER ABOUT “ANG PAGBABALIK”
BY JOSE CORAZON DE JESUS

This Poem is about a lovely couple living in a simple life.

The husband needs to travel far away from their home just to
find food. And when he comes back he sees his wife lying
lifeless.
For me this poem shows us the importance of spending
quality time for our love ones, cherishing every moment with
them, letting them know that they are important in our lives
because we can’t say what will happen next and we can’t say the
exact time when they will be gone. Show them that they are
important to you because they are still here. If their gone we
can’t bring them back just to tell our late love ones that we
love them.
The author of this poem, Jose Corazon de Jesus wants to
tell the readers the importance of acceptance. We should accept
the challenges that are given to us and overcome these problems
to move forward for a better future.
The author also wants the readers to learn how to move on
to those problems and challenges in life that is so very hard
for us to accept. We should face these problems or challenges
and overcome it. These problems and challenges in life make us
stronger person. And the most important part that I learn from
this poem is on how to move on even it is too hard for us to
accept.
I have only a bit of concern for the ending of the story
because it is not clearly stated in the poem regarding the death
of the wife. May be it should be stated in the poem and much
detailed or much clear how the wife died. For example: The wife
died because of loneliness. He did not ate for days because she
misses his husband until he got ill and die because of hunger.
If I were be given a chance to change the ending of the
story it will goes this way; The husband was so depressed
because of the loss of his wife. That’s why he kills his self
just to follow his wife.
And maybe I would also change the title of the poem to;
“The Eternal Love” in Tagalog “Walang Hanggang Pag-ibig”.

REACTION PAPER ABOUT “PAG-IBIG SA TINUBUANG LUPA”
BY ANDRES BONIFACIO

The poem is all about love for our native country and on
how can we express or show our love for our homeland in
different ways, manners, means, tactics, and form. The poem
inspires all Filipinos and even Filipinos in heart to show our
love, respect, and also to show that we are proud to be a
Filipino.
This poem is also about how we became ourselves today, how
we became as a whole person, how we became complete, and how
we’re shaped or molded by help, support, and assistance of our
beloved country.
In the first paragraph it is stated there that there is no
love that is purer and greater than the love that we give for
our native country. But for me there is, our love for Jesus
Christ can be the purest and greatest love that we can give. It
is unconditional, eternal, sublime, faithful and especially most
scared love that can we give.
The author of this poem, Andres Bonifacio wants to show to
the readers especially we, Filipinos, that it is important and
necessary to us to serve well our country, to show respect for
our country, because it represents ourselves. If didn’t respect
our country it also means that we didn’t respect ourselves too.
This literary work inspires all people to give their selves
to their own country, to serve their country, to respect their
country, to appreciate their country, and to give value to their
country, because if you value your country it means that you are
a responsible citizen.
Overall, the literary work of Bonifacio is very useful,
inspiring, meaningful, and good for those who didn’t give
respect and love our country just like criminals; corrupt
government officials, drug users, drug pushers, drug lords and
etc. To enlightened their minds to do good for our country
instead of doing crimes that affects the image of our beloved
country.
As a Filipino citizen and as a student it is my duty to do
good things for our country, to study hard, and to help it
progress.

REACTION PAPER ABOUT “FLORANTE AT LAURA”
BY FRANCISCO BALTAZAR

The story of “Florante at Laura” is about two people who

love each other which are Florante and Laura. Because of their
love to each other, it brings many problems in their lives. But
they overcome their challenges and problems in life that they
face as a couple. Until Florante and Laura became the King and
Queen of Albanya and they rule it peacefully.
The story shows us how love works. Love works in
unconditional way, because you can even take the risk and do
everything just to show and prove to them that your love is
true. Love works in a powerful way, because love can control
anything. Love works in a respectful way, because of respecting
each other it becomes the reason why love works. Love works in
many ways. It is up to us how will love works in our lives, in a
good way or in a bad way.
The author of this story, Francisco Baltazar wants to teach
the readers how love will help our lives in a positive way. Love
can make us change in good ways. Use it us an inspiration in our
lives because it may result well. We should know how to control
our feelings and emotions so we will not hurt other’s feelings
instead think before you act.
The author also writes this story to show to the readers
that we should always think before making an action or decision.
It is necessary for us to think first before making an action to
make sure that our decision will work.
This story has so many characters and happening that makes
it interesting. I also noticed that there are some words and
sentences that are not easy to understand but it also makes the
story more interesting.
As a student I should use love as an inspiration and not
for other things that may ruin my future. Don’t be in a hurry in
finding our partner for life because it will just come in our
lives without knowing it. Just wait for the right time because
it is the best time that is given to us to prove that we deserve
to be loved and to give love.
