1.2. HEATING.

Electricity, voltage 400 volts, three phases, 50 cycles.

1.3. INSTALLED POWERS.

1.31. HEATING: 324 kW.

1.32. COOLING: About 77.5 kW (to be confirmed by CNUD).

1.4. GENERAL FEATURES AS TO THE HEAT-INSULATED PART.

The lehr is entirely made of metal. It includes a number of sections (modules) linked to
each other through a cover plate allowing expansions.

Each section is composed of an inner framework, called inner housing and an outer
framework, called outer housing.

The thermal insulation between inner housing and outer housing is achieved by the
use of rock-wool in the form of blankets, providing a perfect stability up to 700°C.

The inner housing is provided with heating and cooling means.

Peep-holes, distributed along the construction allow the visual control of the good
operation of the lehr.

Furthermore, the lower part of the walls of the inner housing and the outer housing, is
provided with cleaning holes, allowing the removal of the cullet when required.

The thermocouples, placed at the end of the zones in the top and bottom parts, allow
the control of the temperatures and ensure the operation of the lehr through
temperature controllers.

The calories extraction is effected by indirect cooling.

The whole set of sections constitutes the heat-insulated part of the lehr.
CNUD-EFCO Technical Quotation n° P.09/0171-1 dated 25 August 2009 - Page 3 of 9

The lehr includes as well a non heat-insulated part. This latter serves for the
accelerated cooling of glass at the discharge of the heat-insulated part.

An upper and a lower curtains are located between Zone AB and C.

The first section of zone AB is equipped with an insulated hand operated door. The last
section of zone C is also equipped with a hand operated door.

1.5. PRINCIPLES OF THE LEHR.

The lehr is composed of 7 zones, i.e.:

Zone AB: Length = 21,007.5 mm.

Allowing to conduct the controlled and automatic cooling in the zone of
permanent stresses of glass. This zone is provided with heating and
cooling elements in the upper part and with cooling element in the lower
part.

Zone C: Length = 12,000 mm.

Wherein the controlled and automatic cooling is continued to make the glass
fit for undergoing the contact with the ambient air. This zone is equipped with
heating and cooling elements in the upper part and with cooling element in the
lower part.

Zone D: Length = 3,300 mm.

Achieves the transition between Zones C and RET.

Zone RET: Length = 6,000 mm

Within which one proceeds to the accelerated cooling of the glass sheet
within a closed surrounding with recirculated air and temperature
regulation. This zone is equipped with piping nozzles arranged above and
below the glass ribbon and air-supplied by a motor-fan.
The top part of this zone is divided crosswise into 5 zones separately
adjustable.
The bottom part of this zone has no transversal division, but the general
flow is manually adjustable.

Zone E: Length = 3,000 mm.

Achieves the transition between Zones RET and F1.

Zones F1 & F2: Length = 2 x 6,000 mm.

Destined to realize the final direct and forced cooling down of glass. Each of
these zones includes the tuyeres arranged above and below the glass ribbon
and ambient-air-supplied by one motor-fan.
The top part of these zones is divided crosswise into 5 zones separately
adjustable.
The bottom part of these zones has no transversal division, but the general
flow is manually adjustable.

1.61.b. Electric control cabinet.

This will be supplied by us and will be made of metal board equipped with the
following instruments:
- The temperature controllers.
- The associated equipment for ditto.
- Electric protection by fuses.
Maximum ambient air temperature: 30°C.
Cabinet cooling with ambient air forced through the cabinet.
Exposure of the cabinet to heat radiation must be avoided (air conditioning
recommended)

1.62. HEATING MEANS.

The heating of the lehr is achieved by means of electric heating elements.

The elements made of resistance wires are mounted in a robust special stain-
less steel framework (specially alloyed heat resisting steel Ni/Cr).

The low superficial load allowed on the resistance wires ensures them a long
service life.

Each section of zone AB is provided on both sides with two electrical heaters
of 9 kW.
CNUD-EFCO Technical Quotation n° P.09/0171-1 dated 25 August 2009 - Page 5 of 9

Each section of zone C is provided on both sides with one electrical heater of 9
kW.

1.63. COOLING MEANS.

The lehr is equipped with heat-exchangers composed by bundles of tubes

fresh-air-supplied by motor-fans.

The exchanger bundles are subdivided in each longitudinal zone in 4 cross

influence zones in upper side and in 1 zone in lower side.

1.64. MATERIALS.

The 21.007,5 first meters of the inner tunnel are made of stainless steel with 18
% chrome and 8 % nickel.

The framework of the heating elements is as well made of stainless steel with
18 % chrome and 8 % nickel.

The remainder of the lehr is made of normal steel.

1.65. COMPLETION AND PROTECTION.

All our installations are carefully protected by means of an aluminum paint

coating over a chromate base, except the bottom of section which is only
protected by means of a chromate base (anti-rust paint).

The finishing paint coating is achieved at our workshops.

Retouches due to manipulations during transport and mounting have to be

done by the Customer on the site.

POWER PANEL AND MOTORS FOR THE DRIVING MECHANISM

DESCRIBED IN OUR QUOTATION N° P.09/0171-2

1. GENERAL.

This equipment is intended to supply the power to the main drive motor and the emergency
drive motor and to adjust their speed to the required glass speed.

The inverter feeding the motor is of the AC/AC type. Each motor has its own cell with two
power incoming (normal, emergency) 3 x 400 V - 50 Hz.

In normal operation, one of the two motors would drive the lehr rollers at the selected speed
and would therefore use the whole load. The second motor would rotate with no-load
through the free wheel at approximately 5 % below the set point of the first motor.

Both motor speeds would pick up or slow down thanks to faster and slower push-buttons on
the main drive panel.

For the lehr speed monitoring, a pulse generator is mounted on the shaft of each driving
motor.
