The Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations presents its
complements to the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations, in
its capacity as Chair of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States (GRULAC) for the
month of June 2019, and has the honour to inform that the Government of the Republic of
El Salvador has decided to present its candidacy for a Non-Permanent Seat to the United
Nations Security Council, allocated in the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC)
for the term 2020-2021 at the election to be held during the Seventy-Third Session of the
United Nations General Assembly, on 7 June 2019.
The Permanent Mission of El Salvador to the United Nations has the further honour
to kindly request the assistance of the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic to the
United Nations, in its capacity as Chair of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean
States (GRULAC) to circulate the content of this communication among Member States of
GRULAC for their consideration and most valuable support.
