10 rules to be a good person

Ethics are morals that guides people's behavior and influence they way they make

decisions. Ethics are also driven by many different things depending on the framework. Justice is

something that is made fair when something unfair happens. There are many forms of justice but

it is important for things to be fair and equal when someone or something is not fair. Ethics and

justice are related to each other because in ethics difficult decisions are to be made but are

sometimes influenced by multiple things which can could the judgement of what is considered to

be fair in different situations and in people's eyes. The framework that guides my 10 rules is

under the virtue framework because it deals with one's personal character and their values such

as emotions, experiences and thoughts which influence the way actions are taken and the way

decisions are made.

The first set of rules are do no harm and never promote negativity. The virtue framework

has to do with a person's character and the type of person they want to be and I am a person who

chooses to block out negativity and focus on the good in my life. Do no harm refers to not

harming living things or property of others. These rules go together because they promote

positivity instead of negativity and are something that connects to the virtue framework because
it shows how I want to build character by not being a negative person or spreading negativity. In

the situation of William Brown with the people on the boat was not easy to make a decision such

as that but the part that needed to be taken into consideration was the rule do no harm and take

responsibility for your role.

Another set of rules is stick to honesty and be accountable for your actions as well as be

respectful all were placed together because they go with the virtue framework and with a person

and taking responsibility for one's actions as well as being honest. Being respectful is one of the

important ones that refers to being respectful towards people, cultures and everything because

having respect is important so others can have respect for you. Being honesty is also another

quality that reflects the virtue framework because the framework deals with asking yourself what

type of character you want to have and how your personal values play a part into how you are as

a person whether that is trying to be a better person .

Do not judge others as well as helping others out goes together in a set of rules because

judging other people based off of whatever the case maybe is wrong and the virtue framework

follows a person's own morals which would include not to pick on others or judge them. Helping

others is an important part of making up someone's character as it reflects caring about others

besides yourself and helping others in anyway possible with anything you can is a good thing.

These set of rules go with this framework because it shows how someone that wants to be a good

person and is would follow these rules to build a better character .

Another set of rules would be to be strong emotionally and to learn how to forgive.

Forgiving is one of the more hard things to do especially when something is done to you but the

virtue framework states that your decisions and choices are impacted by your emotions which

can play a big role in decision making sometimes as it can cloud your judgement. The

framework also focuses on how experiences are a part of someone's character and how they want

to be as a person and being a person who forgives means being the bigger person who lets go of

things and moves on for the better of things .

The last set or rules is to never give up because under the virtue framework you need to

ask yourself what type of person you want to be and these rules are examples or how One should

be a determined to accomplish what you want. Never giving up on anything if it's something you

want to succeed and keep pushing towards what you want even if you feel like giving up

sometimes you can't. The framework is relative to this rule because it emphasizes how being

determined person and not giving up shows a person has character and will push towards great

things and not give up easily.

The process of making this list was based off of things that relate to the virtue framework

and the key question that surrounds the framework being what type of person do you want to be?

And how will this build your character? Are things that influenced the creation of this list. Some

revisions made were the changing of some of the rules like be careful what you say was changed

to be accountable for your actions because this way it could refer to actions instead of words.

Another change that was made was never have negativity was changed to never promote

negativity because once you feed into negativity and spread it the situation becomes worse.
Another change that was made was do not bully was changed into do not judge or pick on others

based off of anything.

If I was to follow these rules I would be a better person such as someone who is positive

and honest as well as someone who does not give up and works hard. The hardest one would be

forgiveness but if I followed these rules I would be a better version of myself. If the world were

to follow these rules it would be a better place and be more honest, caring and positive place for

everyone in it because we tent to hold on to the negative things and not focus on the good things

and how we can make a different or make this place better.
