This presentation will cover the detailed UI enhancements in the new 12.1.3.8 release
of Advanced Supply Chain Planning Product in VCP family.

There are 3 main features:

- Enhanced export to excel that can download supplies, demands and pegging
information
- New enhanced material plan (a horizontal aggregate view of supply/demand)
- New enhanced resource plan (a horizontal aggregate view of resource loads)

The enhanced export to excel feature supports planners to configure the filters,
attributes that they need to be downloaded to excel using a simple UI.

There is a new menu entry in Setup Menu of Advanced Supply Chain Planner
responsibility to define worksheets. A worksheet primarily consists of supplies and
demands. Based on the configuration of the worksheet, the supplies may also be
broken down to show the pegging to end demands.

Let’s take a look at the new material plan in more detail…

Many customers have asked for enhancement requests to the process of editing or maintaining planned
orders While there have been specific nuances in the way the requests were formulated
orders. formulated, they all share a
common theme. There is a need to easily mass edit a group of planned orders in a bucketed format in
context of a grouping like a category of items. Use cases include:
•Editing a group of end product items to arrive at a total master schedule per time period for a family of
products
•Editing a group of component orders for a given supplier to meet a purchasing minimum or price break
that applies to a group order
•Editing a group of planned orders to arrive at a consolidated “container quantity” for shipment

These usability enhancements streamlines business process by providing direct
access from APCC to allow planners to make changes to forecast, manual demand, or
planned order quantity at the Organization/Item level

The editable material plan falls into the User Changes and Simulations step of the
planning process.

When the material plan opens, the plan passed into material plan is displayed in the
title.

Users can define layouts to select which measures they want as well as time
dimension level. The Context passed in is displayed in the toolbar filters. The planner
can then change the selection.

Grand totals can be hidden/shown via toolbar button or view menu. Editable measures
are highlighted so user knows they are editable.

Changed fields are highlighted until the recalculate button is pressed. The recalculate
button, updates Projected Available Balance and Projected On Hand measures.

Next, let’s take a look at the new Resource Plan…

Customers need to easily add resource capacity at an aggregate level. For example,
adding capacity to a resource at a week or period level.
The Resource Plan allows planners to edit a resource’s availability at the Organization,
Department, Resource and Time dimension (Day/Week/Period).

The new Resource plan streamlines business process by allowing planners to change
a resource’s availability from a horizontal bucketed view
