Course Objectives
1. To teach the students about the friction and wear phenomena, different types of bearings
and lubrication,
2. To get knowledge about tribo-testing and standards
3. To sensitize the student on the inevitability of tribological considerations in the design of
automotive components, which are invariably subjected to extreme conditions
