1)No poverty - There is a direct link between poverty and disability.

Poverty can be the reason of disabilities such as malnutrition, poor health
and even dangerous living condition.
2)Zero Hunger – End of hunger by accessing all people proper food
facilities. Increasing the agricultural productivity and providing proper
nutrition to all age group.
3)Good Health and Well-being- Ensure healthy lives and promote well-
being for all at all ages by reducing the number of death by providing
essential health care services.
4)Quality Education- Providing quality education by giving equal
opportunity to boy and girl. Giving quality education that are very
essential for all.
5)Gender Equality- Eliminating all form of discrimination against all
girls and women everywhere. Also eliminating various types of violence,
trafficking, sexual harassment and other types of exploitations.

3. Write your brief comments on the concept if ‘Triple Bottom Line’ with

4. Briefly mention how depletion of two selected ‘Natural Resources’ could
be stopped.

1) Depletion of Ground Water- We are polluting our pure water from a

very long time and now it is the most important thing right now to
have control on such pollution. In the following ways we can conserve
and protect our groundwater: -
 Dispose of chemicals properly.
 Limit the use of fertilizers used on the plants.
 Take short showers.
 Abandon all wells that are not in use currently.
 Get involved in water education.
 2) Air- Air is one of the other basic necessity for all the living beings in
the world. We can take many small steps which can ultimately give us
a better result. In the following ways we can protect the air being gets
polluted easily:
 Minimize the pollution emitting from various vehicles.
 Use public transport or shared way of transportation to reduce
the air getting much polluted.
 Save energy and make sure that you use energy efficiently.
 Take proper care of your wood store or fireplace.
 Make as much recycle products and use them properly.
 Consume less and choose sustainable products.
 Plant more and more trees.

7. explain one mandatory standard

A standard that requires compliance because of government statue or regulation
or any internal policy of the organisation or any type of contractual agreement is
known as mandatory standard. This type of standard usually carries some
sanction in case of their non-compliance such as civil or criminal penalties or
may be loss of employment.
9. Couple of thoughts on sustainable development
Sustainable development is really a very good initiative taken towards issues
relating to global environment concerns. Some initiatives are taken at various
levels of government but it is still not that much acknowledged by the people at
large. implementation part is still not executed by the peoples and the main
reason behind this is lack of commitment and awareness. Mechanism of
sustainable development implementation can only be achieved by coordination
of efforts, transmitting information, support and commitment from all of us
because it takes a great effort to transform the lifestyle of people in order to
save environment and overall growth prospective. Government can also help in
this process by continuing campaign its importance in the public.

Conserve electricity
 We can turn off the lights when we are not using it.
 We can utilize much of the sunlight to save electricity.
 We can unplug the unused electronics if they were not in use.
  By using CFL bulb or LED bulb we can reduce the consumption of
electricity.
 Replacing the old appliances with the new and energy efficient one.
Conserve water:
 Turning off the tap when not in use like at the time of brushing teeth.
 Fixing of leaking in any pipeline or source of distribution of water.
 Cutting the shower time.
 By contrasting a rain water barrel we can save the rain water.
 While drinking take only that much water which you are required to
drink.
Conserve petrol:
 Proper servicing of your vehicle will save petrol consumption.
 Travel in public transport or shared cabs if the path is same.
 Avoid overcrowded place to eliminate extra consumption of petrol
 Time to time check of adulteration of kerosene in petrol.
 Avoid AC car as much as possible to reduce fuel consumption.
