Wilfy Rebimbus, from Mangalore, India. Multi-award winning Wilfred Gerald Rebimbus has
composed over 3,000 songs compiled in 40 volumes, and staged innumerable, jam-packed
charitable "Wilfy Nites" worldwide. Known as "Konkan Kogul" (nightingale of Konkani), his
songs in a well-modulated, compelling style, are often dedicated to his mother, and wife
Meena, also a noted singer. The popularity of "Mog Tuzo Kithlo Axelom" stems in part from
its lilting rhythm, clear melodic line and simple lyrics - but more for its late '60s filmi-geet
(song) style. Its instantly-recognizable instrumental opening sounds like something out of
R.D. Burman, and immediately transports the listener to Mohammed Rafi on blaring Vividh
Wilfy Rebimbus
