After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death

of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a

 Lighting
 In season one of The Punisher we can see that the
lighting is normally dark, there is many reasons for this
the main being that Frank Castle faked his own death so
he is not able to walk around much during the day in case
he gets recognised.
 Another reason why they may have use dark lighting was
to create suspense and eeriness, because as we know
Frank Castle is war machine and comes across as
frightening especially to his enemies, and when using
low key lighting can make him look more menacing.
 Sound

 In season one we can see Frank Castle and his deceased

daughter play the guitar in a flashback, this automatically
setting the tone of the show with a few strums from a
guitar.
 There are loads off sound effects in The Punisher, from
punching sound effects and gun shot sound effects. Overall
the sound in The Punisher is constant normally because
Frank Castle in constantly fighting and shooting in season
one. There is also sound effects of war in season one where
once again Frank Castle has a flashback to when he was a
marine, the sounds of explosions and aircrafts and gun fire
are very loud and make the episode more exciting and
realistic.

 Editing
 In The Punisher there are loads of special effects, between
explosions and gun fights even down to special effects make up.
When it comes to the actual editing in the episodes its mostly
tracking shots and fast action shots as I have mentioned before
there is a lot of flashback scenes as Frank Castle remembers the
time he had with his wife and children before they were
murdered. The main reason they edit like this is to keep the
audience at the edge of their seat and to keep them watching
without wanting to miss a thing as the editing between scenes is
fast and seamless.

 In this final scene between Frank Castle and Billy Russo ( jigsaw
from the comics) we can see just how quick each move is
between the two characters and how it keeps us on the edge of
our seats as we watch with wonder as to what will happen next.
 Scripting

 The scripting off the Punisher never changes he is

out for revenge on those who murdered his family,
and will go to the extreme to find out the answers
even if it means killing those who were involved.
 There is a scene from Daredevil season two that
really shows the type of character Frank Castle is
even though many people see him as a monster for
the crimes he has committed he visions himself as
someone who is doing what no one else would and
that is clearing the world of murders and criminals.

 Building A Scene

 In Punisher a typical scene is action based, where

Frank Castle goes guns blazing into a fight with
those involved with his family's murder. Although
The Punisher is mostly action it is also emotional
especially in some flashback scenes where we see
Frank Castle spending time with his family and then
we see how they were murdered , also in torture
scenes where Frank Castle is imagining his wife and
how him and his children will be re united as he was
close to death in the final episode.

Quality And Standards

 The quality has stayed consistent throughout

the entire show. It was a fast paced action
show with stunning visuals and impressive
stunts. The standards were high for this show
because its based from the film and
sometimes when a company decide to start a
TV show that’s based off a movie the critics
can be harsh.
Taste And Decency

Even though fans are aware of how brutal “The

Punisher” is from the film, the show is gruesome
and showed some disturbing scenes of assault and
torture. The show also talks about real world
problems like how some marines can not adjust
back to life after fighting for their country for so
long, the show also talks about sexism and
terrorism . The show also highlights how the justice
system sometimes doesn't work and that you need
a local “hero” to bring justice for others.
