ACTIVITY PLAN FOR NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION

(JULY 31, 2018)

I. Theme: “Ugaliing magtanim, Sapat na nutrisyon aanihin!”

II. Objectives:
 To learn more about the benefits of taking fruits and vegetable and establish
healthy eating habits;
 To promote awareness on the value of plants to our health and environment.
 To experience how to grow plants until harvesting time.

III. Activities
A. Healthy Lunch Time Challenge
Guidelines
1. Starting on July 3, 2018 all pupils (Nursery to Grade 6) are required to include fruits
and vegetables to their food(s) or snack(s).
2. The teacher will supervise lunch and recess time.
3. The teacher will check the food(s) or snack(s) each kind of fruit eaten is equivalent to 1
point and vegetable meal for two points.
4. For Grades school this will serve as their PBT in Arts (20 points)
5. At the end of the month, the pupil who accumulated the most number of points in each
level will be awarded as My Plate Champion.

B. Movie Interpretation
Participants: Preschool
Guidelines
1. On July 3, 2018, all adviser from preschool department will announce that there will be a
Movie Interpretation on July 30, 2018 (Monday)
2. All pupils from the preschool department will watch a movie entitled “My Home is Green”
3. After watching, the pupils will interpret the movie by means of artwork.
4. The art should shows the benefits of plants.
5. This will serve as their PBT in Arts (20 points)

C. Poster Making
Participants: Grades 1 – 3
Guidelines
1. On July 3, 2018, all class advisers will announce that there will be a Poster Making on July 30,
2018.
2. Poster should related to the theme “Ugaliing magtanim, Sapat na nutrisyon aanihin!”
3. The adviser per section will choose one (1) pupil who draw related to the theme.
3. The pupil who will get the highest points will be declared as the winner, the second
to the highest will be the 2nd runner up and so on.
4. This will serve as their PBT in Arts (20 points)
5. The certificate will be given on July 31, 2018

B. POEM PRESENTATION
 Participants: Grades 4-6
 Date: July 31, 2018 (Tuesday)
 Venue: 3rd Floor
 Teachers-In-charge:
Ms. Garcia & Ms. Cruz (Grade school)

Guidelines:
1. On July 3, 2018, all class advisers will announce that there will be a Poem Presentation on July
31, 2018.
2. Poem should related to the theme “Ugaliing magtanim, Sapat na nutrisyon aanihin!”
3. The Poem writing contest should written in Tagalog and done during EPP time.
4. The Elimination round will be on July 23, 2018 during their EPP time.
5. After the Elimination round, the teacher will choose one (1) pupil who performed well to
represent the class.
6. The pupil who will serves as the representative of their section will compete with other winners
from different level;
Intermediate level: Grades 4, 5, and 6
7. The pupil who will get the highest score will be declared as the winner, and next in rank will be
2nd runner up and so on.
8. This will serve as their PBT in EPP (30 points)
9. The awards will be given during the program on July 31, 2018

Fluency (Pace, Voice Quality, Vocal Expression, Voice variations - 25

C. PLANTING CONTEST
 Participants: Grades 4 to 6
 Date: July 30, 2018 (Monday)
 Planting Venue: DCS Annex
 Judges:
-Mrs. Diana C. Factuar and Mrs. Editha D. Gamboa
Guidelines:
1. On July 3, 2018 (Monday), all advisers will announce that there will be a Planting Contest on July
31, 2018 (Tuesday).
2. The whole class will plant any type of plants based from the category;
a. Bulb (Onion, potato, leek, scallion)
b. Rhizomes ( Ginger)
c. Herbal Plants ( Oregano, mint , basil, cilantro, aloe Vera )
on July 6, 2018 (Friday)
3. Planting will starts on July 6, 2018 (Friday)
4. The adviser will guide the pupils during the planting day.
 5. The teacher will choose only 3 students to water the plants every day.
6. The adviser will choose only 3 students to present their plants on July 31, 2018 (Tuesday)
7. Each level will discuss the benefits and nutrients of the plants.
8. The Plants presentation will be held at the 3rd floor, July 30, 2017
9. This will serve as their PBT in Science ( 30 points )
10. The winners will be announced after the presentation.
