Description: Density Hydrometer
,,

Specification: BS 718
Specification Series: M5OSP
Scale Range: 0.9 to 0.95 g/mlat 15 degC

Method Used
The calibration method used to determine the density of the hydrometer is based on the F.W. Cuckow
method, Ref: J. Soc. Chem. 1948,68 44-49, for the calibration of reference standard hydrometers. The
hydrometer was suspended from a hydrostatic balance and immersed into in a temperature controlled bath
containing a liquid of known density.
