ABSTRACT
The tremendous turmoil of paradigm on stigma of gifted children in both public
and private schools in the 2000s was explored in this research paper. This study
aims to investigate the amenity of children with higher caliber in their academics
in different sphere of activities to different kinds of environment and areas of
education they belong. The articles used are based on the different factors that
would affect the children’s stability, mental health, social apprehensions and
academic-related effects. The research also supports the different treatments and
actions that could be done by both private and public schools regarding this point.
Gifted students tend to alter themselves up like their personalities, identities
and social standings because of the erratically adversative and auspicious
effects on them that are due to the constant presence of social biases and
staggering academic expectations being thrown unto them. Thus, presence of
guidance, better and advanced education, and appropriate setting of schooling
are needed to foster their naturally endowed prowess in academics and other
domains.
The child's mentality and mental health also plays a role in how they learn and
respond to the stigmatization they may receive from school societies and cliques.
The gifted child is prone to suffering from mental conditions such as anxiety and
burnout due to external factors such as bullying or internal factors such as their
sense of perfection and fear of disappointing others.
