• Words Machine is written in Laravel, a MVC

framework for PHP.

• Words Machine uses Eloquent ORM (Object-

Relational Mapper) for accessing the database.

• Words Machine is hosted on Linux server

with Ubuntu Server OS v18.04.

• Words Machine uses Linux version of MySQL v5.7

WM Reason for the name

The name "Words Machine" is inspired by the amount of information

stored in the database across multiple tables.

Database size is pretty big:-

• There are 1,28,943 words in the database.
• There are 2,27,388 definitions in the database.
• There are 1,28,943 entries for IPA transcription, Syllable, etc., in the
database.

There are three tables in the database:

1. Words Table: It contains 1,28,943 words.

WM Standing out of the crowd feature
The information panel:-
• Audio pronunciation in three
different accent, namely Indian,
American, UK Male and UK
Female. It requires latest
Google Chrome browser.

• Syllable hyphenation.

• IPA Transcription.
WM Related to minor project
My minor project was "Creating an application web server in cloud using Amazon
Web Services (AWS)".

I have used my knowledge from the minor project to create the server for Words
Machine also.

Words Machine is hosted in cloud on Linux server. Server is created from scratch
including installation of all the software and setting of the web application.
