NARRATIVE REPORT
RECOLLECTION 2019

It was on March 19, 2019 when the Recollection for graduating students happened at
CNSC Main Social Hall. The recollections are for three departments namely College of Arts and
Sciences, College of Education and Institute of Computer Studies. The registration for
participant starts at 7:30 until 8:00 o’clock in the morning and the program starts at 8:30 hosted
by two of the college of education students. Michael Vincent Salazar and Sheena Opeda, a Bio-
Sci and English major respectively.
The importance of recollection lies in the need of the students in creating difference in
our life. We are be able to get a one and a lifetime experience for giving us an opportunity to
know ourselves and hear talk that building spirituality awareness among each and every one of
us. The recollection also bring every students into the reality of life through the works of deep
reflection and most especially we find the meaning of our existence and the reason of the many
life’s struggles if they have peace in mind and soul.
The recollection would not be successful without the speaker who inspired each and
every participant and give a lot of informative words of wisdom and he is Mr. Abel C. Icatlo, a
Museum curator and a culture advocate in Camarines Norte who discussed three different
topics (1) Knowing who really we are (2) 7 moral values (3) how to respect and gives genuine
love our parents. Those topics made us feel the importance of Knowing who really are, what the
moral that we should have are and our parents’ sacrifice and how do we give them the respect
and the genuine love they need. Every word was felt by students and be able to reflect by their
own experience and it can be seen that each talk given to us by Mr. Abel C. Icatlo cleanses
student’s conscience to have more concern not only in humanity, but also to the totality of God’s
creations.
The whole day activity was successfully achieved as each participating students brought
all the learning’s and reflect from all their experiences in life and this recollection also bring
everyone closer to God and it awakens all the human soul of students. It is one and a lifetime
experience and the graduating students experience this one.
NARRATIVE REPORT
CAREER WORKSHOP 2019

The fourth year graduating students of Camarines Norte State College had their Career
Workshop 2019 last March 20 of the same year at Camarines Norte State College Social Hall
which were participated by the students of College of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Computer
Studies and College of Education. The aim of the activity are to prepare graduates from the real
challenge once they go outside of the institution and also prepares graduates from the
challenge on the workplace.
On the morning, a topic about writing a comprehensive resume, application letter and
proper attire was discussed by Ms. Jizelle Hernandez where she highlight important things we
should know when we apply for a job and the possible tips we can do when we have our
interview. After Ms. Hernandez, Mrs. Venus Lamadrid talks about DepEd Order No. 7 series of
2015 which is of the hiring guidelines for teacher position. The speaker provides information on
the requirements we should prepare when we apply in the Department of Education and how do
we qualify to the teaching position as she emphasized the 70 points basis. The same speaker
also gives us tips to gained points like attending seminars and gained teaching experience form
private schools. The morning session ends at exactly 11:30 in the morning.
On the afternoon, a guest speaker from the Department of Labor and Employement
(DOLE) who are Mrs. Jane O. Rolda and Mr. Robert Magana discussed about the rights of the
employees and the compensation right of every worker. The speaker discussed different
provisions and rights of worker when in terms of right compensation. Information about
PhilJobNet was discussed by Mr. Robert Magana as he gives graduating students an idea in
finding job through online. After this discussion, Ms. Angelica M. Ella discussed the prospects
for CAS graduate and Mr. Lester Acunin for the IT graduates but also applicable to Education
and CAS students. Lastly, an orientation about La Familia Tree Banking was introduced by Mr.
Ronald Dando which talks about their latest project that lessen climate change by planting tree.
This can be done online, and they provide steps students can follow to register on the tree
banking activity.
The overall aim was successfully achieved by the students as every graduate get an
idea of the track they will go through after graduation. An informative talk also brings change to
student’s perspective and provides a lot of opportunity to every graduating student.
