As part of a team of 10 made it to the second round; placed 27 out of 837 United States
teams overall, placed in top 100 out of 800 United States teams to qualify for nationals

challenge to build a rocket to specific parameters in one hour; placed in top 100 out of

Durango Christian Church STEM Mission, Vuvulane Swaziland, ​Volunteer Science
Teacher​, Summer 2016 & 2017
Advanced from assistant teacher to head teacher; taught week-long science camp for 30
students, ages 9-to-14, at Vuvulane Primary School with two other volunteers; served as
lead teacher for 20 basic-level students in one class and assisted with 10 advanced
students in the other class; used basic science experiments to teach the physics involved
in building model rockets; helped each student complete and launch their own rocket;
solicited 10 free, used laptops in Durango to donate to the school, which had only one
functional computer at the time; also helped raise $400 as a cash donations each year

COACHING EXPERIENCE, MOUNTAIN BIKING


Durango DEVO, Durango CO, ​Paid Head Mountain Biking Coach, ​July through October,
2016 – Present
Advanced from assistant coach to head coach for this non-profit bike society; as head
coach, lead and taught ten preschool children with one assistant; as assistant coach,
worked with 2nd - 5th graders to hone their skills, technique, and style; worked with
students on a wide spectrum of abilities
