Many thing’s people eat, or drink has caffeine in them like Coffee, Tea, Chocolate,
Soda… etc. many people drink or eat these items on the daily. With so many people eating or
drinking these items, what could be good about them? In fact, “caffeine may protect against
Parkinson’s disease: research shows that those who consume coffee are at less risk of
Developing Parkinson’s disease and it even reduces the risk of those genetically more likely to
develop the condition” (“Top 25”). Caffeine has positive impacts on people’s lives with
Caffeine has positives impacts on people’s life with increasing productivity. Some people
are calling it “the equivalent of oil, fueling the human body” (“Caffeine”). With caffeine being a
fueling mechanism for humans it is said to be the part of “The great transformation of human
economic endeavor from the farm to the factory” (“Caffeine”). With the great human economic
endeavor, it led to the booming of industries and companies, with so much more business many
people need to wake up earlier and earlier. The owners of companies “swear by coffee when it
comes to increasing their productivity” (Scalice). In fact, “Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of
Amazon.com said ‘in Seattle you haven’t had enough coffee until you can thread a sewing
machine while it is running’” (Scalice). With coffee being the major consumption and way of
obtaining caffeine, without it people are saying that the 24-hour society we live in would not be
possible.

Caffeine makes working more productive, many workers obtain their caffeine through
drinking coffee, and what a better place to get coffee than a coffee shop. Most people who work
from their computers or students who do their work on computers use coffee shops to relax and
work. According to a journal of consumer research study “Low-level sound makes it tougher for
the brain to process information, which prompts more abstract thinking and creative problem
solving” (Frisch). For example, this can be good for workers and students since it promotes
better work and be helpful to think freely for their work. Some people say, “drinking coffee
stimulates their brains, blowing out all the cobwebs and making room for innovative thinking or
Caffeine can also be used to make people more alert in their busy lives. A chemical that
one’s body naturally produces that makes a person feel tired is called Adenosine. Caffeine blocks
the Adenosine receptors making one’s body stop producing Adenosine until the caffeine wears
off (Frisch). Also, according to a nutrition study that reviewed scores of scientific research on
caffeine, caffeine ramps up the brains energy levels producing enhanced memory, a better ability
to focus, and better cognitive function overall (Frisch). Another example is that, caffeine makes
people more alert and less tired, this is good for when one person is driving so they stay alert and
awake while behind the wheel of a vehicle (“Top 25”). Also, with caffeine making poeple more
alert, it can also help people be more creative both individually and in group settings. “sitting
together over coffee at work can break down social and professional barriers, leading to more
Caffeine has also been used as a form of socializing for many years. “In the middle east,
public coffee houses were ‘where people could listen to music, watch performers, play chess,
and discuss the news of the day over a cup of coffee” (“Coffee”). Coffee houses were such an

important center for the exchange of information that they used to be referred to as “schools of
the wise” (“Coffee”). In addition, “historically coffee houses have been an important social
gathering point in Europe and their appearance encouraged several cultural and political
transformations during the 17th and 18th centuries” (“Coffee”). Furthermore, Coffee houses were
very popular with philosophers, antiquarians, and historians. “coffee houses were used by like-
minded scholars to congregate, lead, learn from and debate with each other” (“Coffee”).
With caffeine being used in the past for socializing it is still used today to socialize.
“Many entrepreneurs use the fact that coffee can make people be more supportive of each other
in social situations” (Scalice). Coffee houses may be playing a bigger role in creating social
networks, with coffee houses providing “a space for regular, but unplanned, interaction with
members of the community” (“Coffee”). Some research suggests, “that we use light hearted
conversations to establish and maintain our connection within a group, as well as for mere
Caffeine can also be very helpful for health reasons. For example, “caffeine helps those
with asthma. A study published in the U.S. National Library of Medicine concluded that caffeine
seems to open airways and help asthmatics breathe easier” (“Top 25”). Also, “caffeine may
prevent skin cancer” (“Top 25”). Another study showed “that caffeinated coffee drinkers have
less risk of developing melanoma” (“Top 25”). Coffee and tea can help to lower blood pressure
according to study out of Paris. Tea drinkers had the greatest blood pressure benefit (“Top 25”).
Coffee and tea has been found to reduce or prevent the risks of many types of cancer. For
instance, “caffeinated coffee cuts mouth and throat cancer risks by 50%” (“Top 25”). Also, non-
alcoholics with fatty liver disease can benefit from caffeine because it reduces the fatty liver
(“Top 25”).

Caffeine can also help with daily health issues and benefit someone after doing physical
activity. For example, “caffeine mixed with carbs replenishes muscle glycogen concentrations
faster after exercise” (“Top 25”). Also, “caffeine relieves pain associated with sleep loss better
