CAE Mining has taken the lead in developing CAE Studio 5D Planner, CAE’s successor to Mine2-4D, the highly
popular solution for mine design and scheduling. Whilst maintaining its popular process-oriented approach,
CAE Mining has made improvements in usability, processing and data management. Some of the biggest
improvements are a result of upgrading CAE Studio 5D Planner’s platform to CAE Studio.
CAE Studio 5D Planner incorporates many of CAE Studio’s features including stunning 3D visualization and a
completely revamped, comprehensive data management system.

Conceptualise
CAE Studio 5D Planner provides an advanced mine design system
within a full 3D environment. Its object-oriented 3D design interface
allows digitizing in multiple viewpoints in real time. Interrogation of block
models during the design stage allows economic criteria to be used in
the design of production excavations.
Control
CAE Studio 5D Planner is integrated with a full Gantt Chart Production
Scheduler (EPS), placing all data from design, block model interrogation,
sequence and schedule in a single database. This results in a single source
of the truth, eliminating the need for manual creation of schedules and
reducing errors.

Create
CAE Studio 5D Planner maximizes the use of automated processes
to eliminate many repetitive tasks normally associated with Mine
Planning. This dramatically speeds up the planning process allowing
for thorough scenario investigation leading to the optimal mine plan.
Collaborate
CAE Studio 5D Planner includes the new Project Manager, which uses
CAE MineTrust database technology to manage spatial geological, design
and survey data for a multi-user, multi-role environment. In addition, multiple
options to present and distribute mining information are available, from
spreadsheet reports and Gantt charts
