However, keep depth = 1.00 mto accommodate thicness of base wall below ground surface .
Hence height of wall above the base = 1.00 + 3.00 = 4.00 m

3 Diamensions of base:-
The ratio of the length of toe slab (DE) to the base width b is given by eq.

b = x = 2.96 m

This width is excessive. Normal practice is to provide b between 0.5 to 0.6 H
Taking maximum value b = 0.6 x 4.00 = 2.40 m
Hence provided b = 2.40 m
The wall will be unsafe against sliding. This will be safe by providing shear key at base

Hence the effective depth is d = = 236 mm
1000 x 0.913
Keep d = ### mm and an effective cover of = 60 mm so total thickness= 300 mm is available
and normal cover = 60 - 8 = 52 mm using 16 mmF bars.
Reduce the total thickness to 200 mm at top so that effective depth of 140 mm is at top

Down ward weight of slab per unit area = 0.30 x 1 x 1 x 25 = 7.50

Between A and B, some of bars can be curtailed. Considered a section at
