ABOUT UIET:
University Institute of Engineering and Technology was
established by Kurukshetra University in 2004 with aim
to develop as a “Center of Excellence” in order to offer
quality technical education and to undertake quality in
Engineering and Technology. Recently, the institute
has introduced PhD programs in various fields of
engineering and applied sciences. The institute has
been competitively selected as one of the 58 institutes
in the country for TEQIP-III grant of Rs. 7 Crores under
sub-component 1.3.
DEPARTMENT PROFILE:
The Department of Electronics & Communication
Engineering was established in the year 2004. The
ECE department at UIET is running B. Tech, M. Tech
and Ph.D. programs. The department has more than
500 undergraduate and graduate students. It is
equipped with the latest experimental and
computational facilities for under taking R & D and
consultancy services. The department, in routine,
organizes workshops on latest electronic design
automation tools like Multisim, Orcad, Xilinx, Lab view,
pSpice, MATLAB, HFSS and advances in DSP to
make students proficient in electronics design. The
department is also engaged in research work in the
field of Signal Processing, Micro-Electronics, Antenna
design & fabrications, VLSI Design, Neuro Fuzzy, and
Mobile & Ad-hoc network etc.
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this short term course is to provide a
detailed exposure of the latest research and applications
in the field of 5G wireless communication networks and
perform its analysis with using different optimization
techniques like Genetic Algorithm (GA), Particle Swarm
Optimization (PSO), Artificial Bee Optimization (ABC)
etc. to the participants. In the course, the participants will
be able to visualize and adapt the role of optimization in
the field of wireless communication technologies and will
be able to create novel realistic models for the purpose
of analysis by grabbing the basics concepts.
CONTENTS:
The contents of this short term course include Basic
concepts and Introduction of 5G Wireless
Communication, Channel Estimation for 5G massive
MIMO System, D2D communication, green
Communication, Heterogeneous Networks, Real wireless
Communication, Security issues in 5G communication
and fundamentals of Optimization Techniques (PSO,
ABC etc.) for 5G cooperative communications.
TARGET GROUP:
The program is open to teachers and students of ECE,
EE, EEE, CSE, IT and allied branches of universities,
engineering departments and AICTE approved
institutions.
