so students have
visual cue of how
far back they must
get.

ACTIVITY 2
INSTRUCTIONS DIAGRAM
1. 3 players on either
team.
2. 1 Defender starts in
the middle of the
grid, rest of the
defenders are at a
cone at one end,
attackers start
opposite them with
the ball.
3. Defender in the
middle has their
back to the
Defending attacker.
Track 4. 1 attacker runs out
to the defender,
once they get to
the middle cone
just before the
defender, the
defending team
yells out ‘GO’.
5. Defender then spins
around and tries to
track which was the
attacker will step
and run to try tag
them.

• Create a larger
area.

Regression
• Allow defender
to face the
attacker.

ACTIVITY 3
INSTRUCTIONS DIAGRAM
1. 3 even teams.
2. 1 team are
attackers (start
with tap).
3. Defending teams
start on score line.
4. After 1 defending
team has effected
3 touches or
touchdown is
scored, they run
backwards to
score line.
Defending 5. Attacking team
Double turn to face other
defence defenders
(repeated).
6. Then teams rotate
clockwise.
7. Team with most
touchdowns win.
