SBI PO exam has certainly become one of the toughest exam to crack, following last
year’s (2016) immensely tough, unexpected and out of the box examination.
Mind you there is no particular book for SBI PO. Believe it or not but this is the harsh

reality.

But there are few things you can do to steer clear of other candidates.

1. Brush up your basics like anything.

Memorise mathematics tables, formulae.

2. Read newspaper daily without fail.

3. Memorise 10 vocabs daily and revise the previous vocabs before moving onto the
next one.

4. For current affairs refer the below things:-

Read daily GK updates from Bank & Insurance Exams: Syllabus, Preparation, Test -
Gradeup Blog

And

Current Affairs, Reasoning, Quant for Bank Exam, IBPS, RRB, SBI

Write dows all the current affairs points in a copy datewise and revise them daily.

5. For logical reasoning, just understand the concept of puzzles etc, and then practice
them thorugh mock tests.

6. Last but not least, Mock Tests.

I had tried many mock tests from different websites but i found the below two, the
best.

Online Practice & Preparation Platform

Welcome to Practicemock

I will also share my strategy for prelims, if it helps anyone, as this strategy enabled me
to score 63 marks in SBI 2016

Prelims is of duration 60mins, comprising 3 subjects maths, english and reasoning.

For better time management, i attempted maths first, followed by reasoning and at
the end english.

This is because, maths and reasoning have higher accuracy rate, if you attempt 40
ques combined, you should be getting 35+ correct in both of them.

Now, for english, ensure you have 10 mins left, which is enough for english. Attempt
the vocab part in RC, dont even read the comprehension, attempt the fillers, attempt
sentence correction, error finding, synonyms, antonyms only. But be careful of
accuracy. Dont try and guess the answers.

I hope my answers brings you closer to achieving your dream..!!

There are no best books. You can read all the books you want and still no good would
happen but trust me to read something with understanding and you would get it all
for a long-term information.

If you are here to read the names of the exhaustive books and see what good could
happen after reading them then I am sorry you won’t find it here but what you will
find here is the truth when you start preparing the actual ways to prepare and choose
the right path for your success.

Now, below you will see various ways to prepare for SBI PO

I WILL RECOMMEND THE ONE I FEEL IS BEST IS GENERIC BUT IN THE END IT
ALL YOU WHO HAVE TO DECIDE.

Now as also said “A major part of your clearing exams depend on from where are
you preparing thus one should prepare from the place from where they are able
to understand most of the concepts, now also keeping in mind that this should
not effect their self studying which is nearly impossible as studying in tuition
won’t give you that much time and is this where most of your time should have
been utilized is wasted”

Thus you need to see for yourself that where do you want to prepare from as there are
following ways such as-

Offline Institutes

Free Sources On Google

Online Institutes

These are the following ways through which one can crack IBPS PO depending upon
the way one studies.

If one goes for the first option then he/she will have to bear the following things as
mentioned below -

High fee amount

Similar content as others

Less duration of the courses

Travelling expenses

No self planing strategy

Along with all these problem one might have to face the problem of not having
complete content as these institutes might not complete the content properly
because of being in hurry of completing the course in the duration mentioned .

But if one opts for free sources online they will find mostly the same content over the
internet but there is no conformation that the content will be correct or not also
saying that if the content is there it not sure that it will be in structured form and it
will be providing proper guidance step wise but there is nothing problem in that as

one always have another option .

Now if you go for the last and best option of Online Coaching Institute then below
mentioned are the things one will have to bear -

Less fee amount

No travelling expenses

Books/E-books

One year validity of course

Active doubt session

Chat support with faculty

Call support

Practical sessions

Now while looking for the some better institutes i came across some names which will
be providing the following benefits and also some other which might not be listed
over here. Thus mentioning below the institute

SBI PO is one of the most difficult yet prestigious banking exams to crack. With a
legacy of more than 200 years, SBI is considered as the pioneer of the banking
industry in India. To work with SBI you need to crack the SBI PO with a focused
preparation strategy. Having said that, salary, perks, and allowances associated with
the SBI PO job apart from the prestige and social recognition will make the SBI PO
profile as an exciting career opportunity.

Best Books for SBI PO Exam Preparation:

Books have been the traditional means for building a solid foundation for competitive
exam preparation. These are the recommended books for the written exams:

Best Books for Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude tests are fast becoming the norm for competitive exams in
India. The aptitude questions essentially measure a candidate’s mental numerical
ability, logical formula application and accuracy of calculations. If you haven’t grown
up liking math, quantitative aptitude sections of exams may be nerve-wracking for
you at the start. However, with sufficient test practice, it is very much possible to
Search for questions, people, and topics Sign In
crack them.

Best Books for Verbal Ability

Verbal ability is an important component of competitive exams, especially those

which inherently rely on communication proficiency, like government jobs and
higher education exams. You must have an impeccable sense of the proper word,
sentence and grammar usage to score well in this section. Questions test the
candidates’ prowess in grammar, reading, spelling, word power, error spotting &
correction and reasoning.

Best Books for Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation

Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation are a form of psychometric testing which
is widely used to assess the mental ability of potential candidates. These tests are
specifically designed to test your non-verbal skills.

Best GK and Current Affairs Resources

General Knowledge and Current Affairs is the one topic that universally exists in
almost all important competitive exams as an independent section. Keeping yourself
updated with current happenings is of great significance as it shows your thirst to
know about the happenings of the world at large. There is a misunderstanding among
students that this section is all about rote learning and it is relatively useless in the
future. However, it tests not only your memory but also the ability to connect facts
and link history to the present, understand why certain events are taking place, their
past influence and future implications.

So, I hope this will be helpful in your SBI PO exam journey and make you prepare well
to clear SBI PO Exam.

Good Luck!
