LASSON PLAN FOR TEACHING PRACTICE I

School : SDN 4 Guntung Manggis


Subject : English
Level of Students : Beginner
Instructor : Ellang Priansyah
Class Time : Thursday/ 10:00-10:12
Time : 12 Minutes
Room : VI B
Meeting : 6st Meeting

A. Rational : This lesson is design for not more 20 students, and using the
Communicative Approach with Audio Lingual Method. Some techniques like asking
students to drills, memorize vocabularies and practice. They will also engaged to
comprehend a dialog or conversation about describing appearance of people what the
teacher have said and students also repeat what the teacher said while students listen to
the teacher. Beside, students will be able to answer some question based on conversation
that teacher shows. Therefore, students will be able to describe people around them in
front of class orally. By using the approach, methods, and techniques mentioned above, I
expect the students will be able to develop their listening and speaking ability.

B. Goal : 2nd Students of SDN 4 Guntung Manggis will be able to develop


their listening and speaking ability about describing appearance of people and use it in
their daily communication.
C. Obectives : By the end of the lesson

 2nd 6th Students of SDN 4 Guntung Manggis will be able


to comprehend a short conversation about describing
appearance of people they have heard from the teacher by
answering 4 detail questions individually in the class
room, by having a 4 minutes with at least 90% accuracy .
 2nd 6th Students of SDN 4 Guntung Manggis will be able
to develop their speaking ability by describing appearance
of people around them orally in front of class, by having a
5 minutes with at least 80% fluency and accuracy.

D. Topic Material : Describing appearanch of people.

E. Approach and Method : Communicative Approach and Audio Lingual Method.

F. Materials & equipment : A laptop, picture, white board and markers.

G. Procedures :

1. Pre- -Opening the lesson 2 Minutes
activity The teacher will write the following activities on the white
board before opening the lesson:
 Talking about describing appearance of people
Then the teacher opens the lesson by greeting the students:
T: Hi my lovely students, Good morning students
Ss: Hi, Good afternoon, sir/mom
T: How are you this morning? Good?
Ss:Good/fine/great/ very well (varies)
The teacher then introduces the material they will learn by
saying:
T: This morning, within 12 minutes, we will talk, and
discuss about describing people and then you have to pay
attention to me for listening what I say. (Students are
listening)
The teacher continues: First, I will ask some qestions:
T: Do you have a best friend?
Ss: Yes, we have a best friend
T: Good… what does he/she look like?, is he tall or short?
Does he/she have long hair or short?
A: he is tall and he has short black hair
(The teacher continues talking and starting the activity)
-show some picture to the students
-give some vocabularies to the students

First students listen to the teacher and then the students
repeat what the teacher said.

After that teacher asks the students to answer 4 questions


releted to the conversation that they have heard.
“Okay class, now, I want you to work induvidually answer
4 questions based on the conversation that I have showed to
you on sheet of paper”
Ss: “yes, sir/mom” (expected answer)
T: “Nice. I will give you 4 minutes and after that I will stop
(Teacher gives 4 questions orally)
you. Okay, let’s do it, answer the questions individually!.”
(the teacher pay attention the students who are answering
the questions)
T: “Come on guys time is up, Now, collect your answer
Ss: yes, sir/mom.

Therefore, Teacher asks students to describe people around


them, before that students can prepare what they will
describe in front of class.
T: Okay now, I want to you describe people around you
especially their appearance, you can describe your father,
mother, brother, sister or your best friend and others.
Ss: Yes sir. (Expected answer)
T: I will give you a minute for preparing.
(It takes 5 minutes for this section)
3 Post - Concluding and closing the lesson I minute
Activity The teacher is ready to close the lesson due to the
time and asks students whether they have question or
not.
T: Ok, students, we run out of time now. Do you
have any question?
Ss: (silent), no, sir/mom
T: No questions? Great, I will see you next week
then, and don’t forget to study hard and keep
practice. Bye…!
Ss: See you sir/mom…Bye!

H. Backup Plan :- In case if the picture that teacher will show to the students is not,
the teacher should be ready to show the picture using laptop.
I. Evaluation : 1. Cognitive aspects: memorize vocabularies and repeat what
teacher have said.
2. Affective aspect: evaluated while the process of teaching and
learning.
3. Psychomotor aspect: evaluated while the process of teaching
and learning.
4. Assigment type: Induvidually.

the questions after students have listened!

T: So, you have seen her?

Z: Yes, I have.
