The Miseducation of Pakistan
Belonging from a rural area which gradually turn to a city, I felt the
need of education for people who don't afford private schooling
because of the Miseducation in government schools. And fast forward
10 years, I observed very little progress in the development of
government schools. Why little progress? The answer is only poor
children study in government schools that's why things didn't change
and poor are still suffering in government schools in this modern age of
living, Another reason could be lack of responsibility from government
sector(education department). The condition of government schools are
worse, classes are roofless, There is absence of learning environment,
scarcity of space and low standards of organization and staff. I had
Visited few schools recently, saw the conditions, and attain a
perspective that people who go to private schools are more productive
and willing. But students from government schools are willing to go to
school for some negative purposes (Nasha, drugs and other bad habits)
due to lack of educational environment and less awareness. I believe
things will not change until government and people realize their
responsibility seriously and adapt reasonable changes.
Education in Pakistan
In this modern age of living, I believe our education system rests below
the other progressive educational countries comparatively. In the field
of education, Pakistan is suffering from decades, why suffering? The
possible answer could be that Pakistan spend minimum on their
education, conditions of government schools are proof of it,
Government role and support are questionable in such regards as
literacy rate is struggling to reach half of the country's population. And
poverty contributes heavily to the illiteracy rate of the country as 40% of
population is deprive of basic necessities and luxury of education. Our
Government schools are in worse conditions and deprive of learning
environment while on the other hand, a quarter of our population
afford private schooling. Rural areas education of Pakistan are severely
unsatisfactory, in such areas where very few education are available.
Religious education is also being practiced in a minor population
without any foundation of understanding can cause serious threat. As a
country Pakistan’s education condition are quite inadequate and
inferior, There is very gradual progress observed in its development with
time. Pakistan's future demand education of masses for survival and
success in such progressive world . I think government needs to support
and pay more attention to build a basic foundation to overcome it’s
educational crisis.
Sach ka Safer
A journey to enlighten the circumstances of education in the biggest city
of the country, where enough population is experiencing private schools
education. But specifically poor area's and financially weak group of
people are suffering in government schools where there is no
established education system is available. Education being the basis of
enlightenment and awareness in every aspect of life, is important for
everyone especially for the poor people, But unfortunately
underdeveloped and poor areas of the city are prevented from it's
privilege. And Government schools situations are very bad, they lack
furniture and basic required sources to create a learning environment.
The problem is not only that these area's lack educational institutions,
the problem is that self esteem and honesty to spread knowledge is
compromised. Children’s are restricted to little opportunity of learning
in government schools and human potential is wasted and unrecognized
due to deprive of facilities and willingness. The minor group of people in
such area's whom are hopeful to study are disappointed and frustrated.
The education sector of our country is abandoned due to which poor are
helpless, hopeless and education less.
Pakistan the lost Generation
Pakistan being a lost Generation from last decade due to failure of their
schooling, relatively pseudo curriculum and lack of government interest
towards poverty and education. Educational Situation reflects ugly
picture and serious concern for the youth generation, schools never
exist I.e. there is no building or classroom, very limited space and
furniture in the government sector schools, where if a student is
determined to study but circumstances opposes his willingness. While
some poor students got helpless and drop out for earning to fulfill basic
requirements of their families. Main reasons why Public education is
suffering in Pakistan? Conditions and circumstances expresses the
disability and lack of responsibility from government and individual
dishonesty. The consequences of illiteracy of such a large population of
youth in a country like Pakistan causes a serious threat to their
future(Terrorism chances increase). In Pakistan there are some religious
institutions(madrasa) too, which are dominated by children’s of poor,
and financially weak families send their children at very early age when
they don't know the (difference between wrong and right) to such
madrasa which may in future promotes religious fundamentalists as a
result. Pakistan as a nation needs to decide to be functional or a
dysfunctional state; because there are students like (Fatima) are willing
not to give up and face difficult situations for excelling in their studies
and achieve their desires. Pakistan will be struggling for survival, peace
and national identity if the generation from (8 to 19) years old youth
circumstances remain same. Strong initiatives are must to keep away
from a lost Generation, better educational system and policies by
government and to resolve the educational issues of poor people of the
country.
