Bomb Blanket:
MKU’s extensive experience and expertise coupled with its
excellent manufacturing abilities in manufacturing effective
ballistic solutions have enabled it to develop bomb suppression
blankets & safety rings.
In recent times bomb explosions have become an attractive tool
for terrorists to spread terror and destruction. MKU presents a
unique product to suppress the impact of such tools of terror.
The bomb blanket and a safety ring provides emergency
protection against blasts and fragments in the event of an
explosive device detonating before it can be neutralized. It is
quick & effective against most of the pipe bombs, hand grenades
& fragments caused by pressure or electrical explosions.

 Each bomb blanket is designed to be used in
conjunction with a safety ring, which is supplied as a
part of the kit.
 They eliminate the need of direct contact with the
explosive device and provide a safe environment for
the disposal of the same.
 The ring should be placed on its edge around the
suspect package. This directs the blast upwards into
the blanket which contains most of the fragments
created by the explosion.
 Two or more safety rings and blankets can be used
together to contain larger suspect devices.
Material Used:
 Made from a combination of anti ballistic materials and
encased in a water repellent black polyamide cover.
 The blanket has four heavy duty nylon webbing &
handling straps which permit its careful positioning
over suspected explosive devices.
 A bomb blanket is not only useful for use with a
bomb ring, but can also be used as a temporary
portable barrier for VIP's, over windows, or in place
of several shields to protect personnel in a barricade
situation.
 It can also be used for protecting explosives or
grenades stored near probable explosion prone
areas.
 The blanket can be hung against a wall or can be
folded around for storage.

 V50 - 500 m/s against fragments
(17 grains or 1.1 gm) as per STANAG 2920
