Five Year plan

As of right now, i'm not completely sure on what I want to pursue after I graduate, but I

know I want to attend college and major into the medical field. I've always wanted to help

patients stay at the hospital more comfortable and always advocate for the patients. I would like

to attend the community college here in merced for 1 year to earn my associate’s degree and then

later transfer to San Francisco State to complete my bachelor’s degree. The main career I am

leaning towards is nursing.

Registered nurses make up the majority of workers in our healthcare system, holding

around 2.6 million jobs. The specific duties of an RN change depending on the work setting and

patient population. RNs may specialize in specific health conditions, settings, populations, and

organs or body systems. RNs collaborate with physicians in treating and examining patients,

administering medication, and providing rehabilitation. They may also be involved in educating

the public about medical conditions and promoting health. I have always been interested in the

nursing field because my aunt is a nurse and she is someone I look up to.

In college the class courses I would like to take include physiology,

microbiology, nutrition, and psychology. I hope to be living far away from Merced and be

successful and happy with the choices I have made. I hope to be living in San Francisco and have

a part time job to pay for housing and food and necessities. Living with other people to help even

have an area to live isn't ideal, but it's what I plan will happen in order for me to save money

until I can have a steady home I will be able to pay off on my own with My significant other.

Procrastination has always been a big issue within my schoolwork during my whole high

school experience, so I plan to take my schoolwork more serious and prioritize it as my number

one. Some Other short term goals I plan to achieve or work on achieving include getting a job.

Getting a side job while I work to further my career is essential if I want to afford housing, food,

and my wants. I hope I am more independant and have learned to mature and stop leaning on

others for help. Being a more independent person will help shape and lead me to a better lifestyle

ahead of the road.

In five years, I hope to be happy with my choices. I hope I have my associates degree and

I am finishing on earning my bachelor’s. I will finally have been saved up enough money to

have a home of my own. I will have learned from my mistakes and bettered myself and grown as

a person.
