Statement
My artwork is about the trash around my community and how the
streets look with trash on the sidewalks. My project doesn't look
organized because the trash is not something very neat. The title of
my work is Green city, clean city, my dream city. The Elements of
Design that are obvious in my work is value, space, color and texture.
The Principles of Design that is in my work is pattern, and scale.
My artwork is taken from the schools camera. The tools and
techniques I used in the progress of my artwork was using photoshop.
I used lighting, objects, space, color, texture and the most important
composition. I created my art by going around in my community and in
the streets.
What inspired me was my community how to make it better and not
leave trash in the sidewalks. My work expresses the environment I live
in and how it looks. The emotions in my artwork are embarrassment,
and judgmental because they way our streets looks.
My goals for this artwork is for people to get influenced and help
picking up the trash that they see in the sidewalks or anything in the
streets. My goal as an artist to other photographers is to get them
inspired and take interesting photos like mine with different angles,
composition and also to learn about was going on in my community.
What I learned about doing my artwork is that there is lots of different
elements and principles of design all over my community and the world
that I can use to capture in photos. This piece of artwork will influence
me in the future to take better photos because I learned more
techniques. This piece of art does help me reach my goal by showing
the objects and places.
What I also learned was that time matters when you take photos
because I wouldn’t happen the same way. This piece influenced my
future artwork to make better pictures and go to more different places
and take pictures of different principles of design and elements of
design.

Biography

Algenib Ramirez was born in May 31,2002 in the City of

Lynwood,California. Her experience in photography is really good. She

has been in a photography class since her freshman year of High

School. What interests Algenib in photography is the different angles

of photography and the different composition. She choose the topic of

trash because it affects the community were she lives and she wants a

change in her community and doesn't want trash at all in the streets

and sidewalks because sometimes the trash is blocking the sidewalks

and blocks the people’s pathway. What Algenib has learned about

photography is that there are specific things in a photo and there are

two categories The Principles of Design and The Elements of

Design. Principles of Design are the use of tools to make art and

Elements of Design are the tools that make art. In her images you can

see how the sidewalks look when she walks to her house. How people

just leave their furniture outside in the sidewalk, they could donate it to

homeless shelter. Even also just go to the garbage place and throw it

away there than leaving it in the sidewalk. People should think before

leaving the trash in the sidewalks because you never know if that

furniture is full of bacteria or any disease.
