Macbeth is a play about a man named Macbeth whose desire is to be king but at the beginning,

Duncan became king and Macbeth swore he would become the king and killed Duncan.
Macbeth had his murders do the work for to kill anyone who is next to be king. he went insane
to the point thinking it is okay for Lady Macbeth, his wife, to die. Macbeth did get his wish to be
king but died at the hands of Macduff. How did this all start? And who made him Macbeth into a
maniac? It all started when the three witches told him he’ll become king but what they didn’t tell
Macbeth was when. Later on, Macbeth told his wife and his wife tried to convince his husband
to kill King Duncan. At first, Macbeth didn’t like the idea. He thought Duncan was a good man
but Lady Macbeth tells him how a wimp he is for not having the courage to kill Duncan. She tries
to show what good things can happen. With that Macbeth listened and overtime went insane. I
believe with Lady Macbeth’s “advice” made his husband change into a mad man wanting to be

What started this is right after Lady Macbeth heard from his husband he will become
king. She was very happy to hear and couldn’t believe her ears but at the same time surprised
to hear from her husband. She said on Act 1 Scene 5: When I burned in desire to question them
further, they made themselves air, into which they vanished. Whiles I stood rapt in the wonder of
it, came missives from the king, who all-hailed me 'Thane of Cawdor;' by which title, before,
these weird sisters saluted me, and referred me to the coming on of time, with 'Hail, king that
shalt be!' This have I thought good to deliver thee, my dearest partner of greatness, that thou
mightst not lose the dues of rejoicing, by being ignorant of what greatness is promised thee”.
This piece of evidence means that she’s thinking to herself how she’s going to be royalty. This
was the beginning of Macbeth turning into how he is in the end of the play. Lady Macbeth was
being selfish and thinking to herself how she is going to become queen.

The second reason why Lady Macbeth was the cause of Macbeth killing spree was she
wanted him to become king instead of Duncan. She also tries to convince Macbeth to kill
Duncan by showing Macbeth how a weak he is. In the text, Lady Macbeth says: What beast
was't, then, That made you break this enterprise to me? When you durst do it, then you were a
man; And, to be more than what you were, you would Be so much more the man”.
What is she saying is why can’t Macbeth be more of a man? This is in Act 1 scene 7 when Lady
Macbeth has told Macbeth to kill Duncan or else you’re not a man. This made Macbeth feel
embarrassed and listen to his wife and to kill Duncan just to show his wife that he can be a man
or more than a man. Another piece of evidence was when Macbeth thought what if Lady
Macbeth’s plan doesn’t work? Lady Macbeth responds to this by saying: We fail! But screw your
courage to the sticking-place, And we'll not fail. When Duncan is asleep— Whereto the rather
shall his day's hard journey Soundly invite him. This piece of evidence means they will not fail”.
The plan will work and with that, it made Macbeth a little at ease.

The final reason is right when Macbeth had killed Duncan he can’t help but feel
disturbed from what had happened. He can’t even think straight and starts to worry what would
happen later on. Her wife; on the other hand, says how it was the right thing to do and tries to
make him forget about those doubts and says it is nonsense. In the script on Act 2 scene 2,
Lady Macbeth says: Who was it that thus cried? Why, worthy thane, You do unbend your noble
strength, to think So brainsickly of things”. Still, Macbeth still gets it out of his head and said: I'll
go no more: I am afraid to think what I have done; Look on't again I dare not”. But Lady Macbeth
brings that their purpose was Macbeth to become king. She says: infirm of purpose! Give me
the daggers: the sleeping and the dead Are but as pictures: 'tis the eye of childhood That fears a
painted devil.” Later on Macbeth thought it was all right to kill Duncan and started kill to other
people who are going to become rulers instead of him.

Thus, it was Lady Macbeth’s fault to make his husband turn into a maniac and had
murdered so he can become king. When Macbeth told her wife that he will become king
because the witches had predicted the future, her wife was surprised but also very jovial. She
thought to herself what a proud sight would be. Later on in the play, they both found that
Duncan would become the next heir and his sons as well. The married couple was confused.
Why didn’t the prediction come true? Macbeth didn’t know what to do but Lady Macbeth did….
She wanted to kill the king to help his husband and herself. Macbeth didn’t feel like it was a
good at first but she convinced him and worked. After the death of Duncan, Macbeth and Lady
Macbeth became rulers. After that Malcolm was next to be king. This made Macbeth furious and
made his murders do the work for him to kill Malcolm. Without the confidence, Lady Macbeth
has given him he wouldn’t have gone insane.
