Alpha Enterprise Resource Planning

This project is limited only to the preparation of the Software requirement Specification of
the Alpha Enterprise resource Planning Software and the Software Planning.

Project Description
This project is aimed at the development of an Enterprise Resource Planning Software for use by
Alpha Beta Consulting LLP and for marketing to prospective clients in various industries.

Background
Presently, various applications being used in the organization have their respective databases and
various departments’ processes are run on a stand-alone basis. There is need to harmonize these
applications and have a common Database with aim at information sharing and analytics within the
organization and its various departments and applications.

Introduction

ERP is one of the most widely implemented business software systems in a wide variety of
industries and organizations. ERP is the acronym of Enterprise Resource Planning. ERP is
just not only a software. ERP definition refers to both; ERP software and business strategies
that implement ERP systems.

ERP is a Business Management Software that allows an organization to use a system of


integrated applications to manage the business and automate many back office functions
related to Technology, Services and Human Resources.

Our (Alpha Enterprise Resource Planning) AERP implementation utilizes Human Resource
Management System, Payroll System, Finance System and other integrated applications to
improve the performance of any organization for

Our AERP software systems include application modules to support common business
activities like finance, accounting and human resources. These components interact together
to achieve a common goal – streamline and improve organizations’ business processes.

Our AERP software consists of multiple component that integrate activities across functional
departments – from production planning, parts purchasing, inventory control and product
distribution to order tracking.

Alpha Enterprise Resource Planning (AERP) software can be described as a complete


business software solution. It is aimed at the integration of all business processes and sub-
processes into a single unified system. This system is formulated and implemented in an

purpose of this is to develop an AERP system which will provide the following benefits to

Project Scope

Technical requirements
Cloud Hosting service using Platform as a Service, or PaaS: a distinct method of platform-based
cloud computing that allows clients to develop and manage their own software and applications
without building and maintaining the type of infrastructure required to develop and launch
software.

OR

Infrastructure as a Service, or IaaS, which has to do with delivering data management infrastructure
to clients. Businesses that use IaaS maintain many of their own programs, apps and processes, but
implement them within the provider’s infrastructure, which is managed, maintained, repaired and
upgraded by the provider.

In selecting a Cloud Hosting provider, the following must be considered:

In a nutshell the Cloud Hosting provider must provide a Secure, flexible and easy-to-use solution

The ERP systems make use of a central/common database and data is shared across the systems.

Microsoft SQL server 2017 will be used in this development.

.NET Framework version 4.7.2 will be used in the design and development of the various composit
Systems of this ERP software.

There must be authentication for all users to access the application. Access given to users will
depend on the authorization on the DB/assignment of roles.
