Course Learning Outcomes


This course is a part of engineering foundation. It is targeted to help student visualize the basics of
engineering design. It is intended for improving students approach towards conceptual design. The
successful completion of this course would help students in achieving the following objectives:

1. Selects appropriate Engineering Drawing tools and use the drawing principles for adequate
representation of mechanical components. (Level: C3, PLO-10).
2. Draw 2-D Drawings/Sketches using AutoCAD drawing and editing tools. (Level: C3, PLO-5)
3. Produce basic engineering construction drawings, drawings of mechanical parts and engine details.
(Level: C3, PLO-10)
4. Prepare a CAD drawing/project related to mechanical Engineering applications. (Level: C3, PLO-5)
