Introduction

Technology integration is the use of technology to enhance and support the educational
environment. Technology integration in the classroom can also support classroom instruction
by creating opportunities for students to complete assignments on the computer rather than
with normal pencil and paper. By using technology in the classroom, both teachers and
students can develop skills essential for the 21st century. These are very important skills that
can be developed in the classroom. Benefits for teachers with countless online resources,
technology can help improve teaching. Forth industrial revolution brought new technologies
like artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and robotic are emerging with the potential for having a
transformative impact on industry, the economy and society as whole. There are new
demands which teachers must respond for using this technology in the classroom and that of
4IR.

Teachers who should treat the adoption of technology as a part of learning planning: the
teacher must be able to adapt to new curriculum and new policies. This are teachers can
incorporate technology directly in their practice and insulate their learners from the
deleterious effect of policy churn.

Teachers who should not fear open-source technologies: Many mistakenly believe that
education technologies are expensive and complicated to use. Open-source technologies are
stable, secure, and compatible with other platforms. Organizations both small and large use
open source devices every day. Many businesses use open-source servers for their efficiency
and costs savings. They often have large communities that provide high quality customer
support. Best of all, open-source technologies often cost less than proprietary products.

Teachers who use online education portfolios to evaluate learners: This are teachers have
known about the benefits of paper based portfolios for generations. Portfolios allow learner
to express creativity for difficult to assess subjects. Teachers can choose from a variety of
online portfolio providers tailored to the needs of their classroom. They also serve as a
platform for learner to demonstrate growth. Online portfolios have many advantages over
paper based options because they cost less and allow for more robust outreach. Online
portfolios are also amenable to a wider variety of formats including video, music or other
interactive features.

Teachers who should embrace the Common Core State Standards. Common standards make
teaching simpler. Teachers have to write lessons that comply with district, state, and national
standards. Having a single set of standards eliminates redundancy and conflicting guidelines.
Furthermore, universal adoption of common standards will support future technological
innovations that aid teachers. From a technical perspective, standards facilitate the
development of new technologies. Innovators can focus on developing tools that better serve

students rather than solving technical challenges of interoperability created by multiple sets
of standards.

Teachers who use technology that is empowered by the school: Teachers rightly reject
education technologies that divert their attention from instruction. The best education
technologies enable teachers to do more with fewer resources. Communication platforms like
Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr enable dynamic communication with students. Teacher-
empowering technologies include mobile apps that grade written student work and provide
lesson plan databases. School systems need to aggressively track what works for their
teachers and put all other unworkable technologies aside.

Conclusion

The use of technology in the classroom has made a positive impact in teaching and learning.
Although for some it sounds difficult. The use of technology has affected society in many
positive way and that include the education sector. Nowadays learner have computers to
help them with their school work, they have access to research tools while teachers use
technology to enhance the impact of their lessons. Technology in the classroom can also have
negative effect in the classroom e.g. learners loose time on studying by spending time
focusing on playing games, the overuse of technology can affect learners physically, mentally
interacting what they are studying. Overall technology increases day by day and It was meant
to make our lives easier. Teacher should teach learners the good ways of using technology.

interactive devices are used for the human computer interaction. Some of them are known
tools and some are recently developed or are a concept to be developed in the future.
Interactive devices play an important role in teaching and learning like fun and advanced
learning. This device helps learners to become productive, effective and Interactive.
Interactive devices can allow teachers to thinks outside the box and integrate more of their
creative ideas than ever before when lesson planning. They make teaching strategies more
flexible, teachers are better able to adapt their lesson to suit the learning style of different
learners or classes. This Technology can help learners improve their ability to communicate
both with their peers and their teachers, they also offer additional learning resources for fast
learner, enhances learner’s technology knowledge and skills. Classroom Interactive devices
and be whiteboard, computer, video conferencing, television projector etc.
Whiteboards are an essential classroom tool that allows teachers to accommodate learners
of all learning styles. A teacher can use a magnetic whiteboard to post photographs and other
images. Since they can be moved around easily with magnets, the teacher can keep a
laminated set of images on hand for different teaching units. Whiteboards makes it easier for
the teacher to structure lessons, makes the learning process more fun, increases the level of
engagement between teachers and students, makes review or revision of lessons more
convenient, allows students with various disabilities to learn better and brings convenience
and flexibility in learning.

3
A computer is any electronic device that allows learners to access the Internet to research,
create, and complete work. This means that a laptop or tablet can also be categorized as a
classroom computer. They provide fostering online collaboration with other learners,
computers provide curriculum support and additional information to learners, promote
better organization: Laptops help learners keep track of their assignments and utilize an
online school calendar, they allow learners to receive and view assignments online and
submit their work via e-mail rather than being required to print them. Computers improves
the review process e.g. Teachers may edit student papers and return them digitally to provide
more detailed feedback, improves learner’s computer skills and making learning more
interesting for technology-savvy students

Video Conferencing is one of the interactive devices that can be used in the classroom to
provide learners with a real-time two-way audio/video communication between two or more
locations. Video Conferencing requires specialized equipment on both ends for a successful
connection. Video conferencing Saves Lessons and Meetings like When a learner misses a
class due to absence or wants to review the content again, video conferencing recording and
archiving tools can be used for playback in order to teach or reinforce a lesson. This works
great for the teaching staff as well; staff meetings can be held via video conferencing in order
to save time and travel expense and can be recorded for those unable to participate in the
live meeting.it also helps parents and teachers hold meetings over video conferencing to
minimize scheduling conflicts for both parents and teachers. Some video conferencing
systems offer tools like guest invites in order to engage parents in parent/teacher
conferences.

Projectors a device that is used to project rays of light, especially an apparatus with a system
of lenses for projecting slides or film on to a screen. Projector enable teachers to create
bulleted PowerPoint presentations or other highly organized notes for the class. With the use
of projectors in the classroom, students can take better notes with the ability to discern what
information the teacher displays are most useful to them. In the old days, teachers were
using blackboards. With the use of projectors are now paving the way seamlessly for teachers
to concentrate on teaching and for learners to effortlessly learn without the need to erase or
have messy white chalk marks
Television (TV), sometimes shortened to tele or telly, is a telecommunication medium used for
transmitting moving images in monochrome (black and white), or in colour, and in two or three
dimensions and sound .Television can be used as an effective teaching tool to help build
literacy skills, address current social issues and energize classroom dynamics. For early
learners, age-appropriate educational television can help kids prepare to learn how to add
value in the classroom. For early learners, age-appropriate educational television can help
kids prepare to learn how to read. Several studies suggest that these types of shows promote
sound recognition and letter identification. Little learners aren't the only ones who can
benefit from appropriate uses of television in the classroom, though. For older students,
televised content can offer information that's more current than what is available in a
textbook. by introducing a different format into the classroom, television can benefit
students of all ages.

3.1. Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and
tablets. Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps, or online in social media such
as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter and WhatsApp, forums, or gaming where people
can view, participate in, or share content. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing
negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else. It can include sharing personal
or private information about someone else causing embarrassment or humiliation. Some
cyberbullying crosses the line into unlawful or criminal behaviour.

3.2. Monitor your social media closely: The teacher must be on the lookout for bullying
comments, and be sure to use practice to handle any and all negative social medial
comments. The teacher must also implement a social media monitoring program as a part of
school media plan and larger communications plan.

Let your students know that you have their backs: The teacher must let the learners know
that every activity they on the social media is being monitored and legal action will be taken
against any cyber bully within the school. Send strong message to learner that all reports of
cyberbullying will be taken seriously. Every year, address learner about cyberbullying during
one group assembly and explain the reporting procedures and what steps the school will
take. Also communicate that to parents. That way, everyone every victim will know what to
do and who to contact should cyberbullying occur.

Train teachers to recognize the signs: teachers must be trained to look for change in attitude
or a reticence to be involved in a group discussion can be a sign that there are problems.
Changing friendship groups and dynamic can be another sign. Teachers should be trained to
look for subtle signs and they must not be afraid to start the conversation they feel a learner
might be dealing with bullying within the school property. If the teacher can notice the
problem earlier, the sooner he or she can step in and find a solution to the problem

Encourage bystanders to say something: The teacher must encourage his or her learners to
speak out if they see bullying online. Also teach your learners about the importance of having
a culture of inclusion and standing up to those who are being picked on.

Get parent involved: for teacher to get involved requires guidance and support from parents.
The teacher must not be afraid to get you’re his or her learner’s parent involved as possible.
Teachers may not be able to shut down a learner’s Facebook account or take away their
phone, but the parents can. Notify parent parents that their child may be involved in a
cyberbullying situation so they can take action as quickly as possible. Make be parents be
aware that there are those who don’t to admit that their child is a bully or may not see the
harm in the bullying. By educating your learners, parents and other teachers cyberbullying
can stop from having negative impacts at the school.
