MYTH- is often a story of origins, how the world and everything in it came to be.
LEGEND- comes from the latin adjective “LEGENDA”. It refers to unverified story handed down from earlier times,
especially one popularly believed to be historical.
NOVEL- It typically having a plot that is unfolded by the actions, speech, and thoughts of numerous charaters placed
in a no. of different situations.
FABLE- It usually short narrative making an edifying or cautionary point and often employing as characters animals
that speak and act like humans.
FAIRY TALE- It is a kind of folktale or fable. In this story, we meet witches and queens, giants and elves,
princess,dragon, talking animals, and sometimes even fairies.
NOVELLA- It is a fictional literature that is longer that a short story, but shorter than a novel. It is form in its own right.
Autobiography- which comes from the Greek words auton, “self”,bios, “life” and graphein, “write” is a biography
written by the person’s life himself or herself.
Editorial- it is statement or an article by a news organizations, newspaper, or magazine that expresses the opinion of
the editor, editorial board, or publisher.
1. PLOT- a plot is a series of events and character actions that relate to the central conflict.
2. CHARACTER- it is a person or sometimes even an animal, who takes a part in the action of short story or other
literary work.
• MAIN CHARACTERS- are primarily responsible for the major actions in the story, while the rest are secondary
characters.
• FLAT CHARACTERS- this are simple and one-dimensional. They present a single dominant trait or characteristic
and they remain essentially unchanged throughout the story.
• SETTING- it refers to the place where the story takes place, but it actually encompasses both the physical
locale that frames the action and the specific time including date and years, the climatic actions, and even the
historical period during which the story took place.
• 4. POINT OF VIEW-the author is the person whp wrote the story. The narrator is the person who is recounting
the events in the story.
• 5. THEME- it is the central idea or belief in a short story. The plot is considered as the body of the story and
the theme is its soul.
• Music is the art of combining sounds of varying pitch to produce a coherent composition that is melodious,
intelligible and expressive of ideas and emotions.

1. The voice
Dance, the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, for the purpose of
expressing an idea or emotion, releasing energy, or simply taking delight in the movement itself.
Dancer
It is the most important element of dance.He executes the steps, follows the instructions of the chreographer, wars the
costumes, and carries the props.
Choreography
A choreographer is the dance director. He does the overall design of the dance, assigns the steps to be executed by the
dancer/s, selects the costumes and props that go with the dance and determines the set designed for the dance.
Design
It is the planned organization or pattern of movements in time and space. It involves the movements and the positioning
of the dancers and the steps executed by them.
Subject
It is the message of the dance. Simply put, it tells what the dance is about.
