I. Introduction
The School year 2018 – 2019 is a crucial time for all Programs. It marks the start of the
implementation of the revised curriculum where the necessary inputs such as outcomes-based instruction,
internationalization and fourth industrial revolution must be considered. Apart from these things, music
Program in respond to the challenge of OBE-ized instruction, had conceptualized a new approach to recital.
This new concept encourages students to showcase all their learnings or competencies acquired in their
recital. Further, a concept paper is required as a guiding tool to come up with a unifying concept. The
newly conceptualized recital also known as option B have the following components;
A. Theoretical – meaning the student can make use of the existing music theory to create or re-create
a new music. It is where they will have an intense analysis of the works of the music composers.
B. Pedagogical – meaning the student may have an analysis of a specific work and unpack the
pedagogical aspects to introduce a new pedagogical approach in learning both instrument
technicalities and music education in general
C. Community service – the students may engage to different communities to come up with a
conceptualized presentation.
II. Faculty
All faculty were able to have culminating activities on the assigned teaching load/s.
Trainings and workshops to enhance curriculum and instruction will be this second semester.

VI. Conclusion
Music Program continue to improve as we embrace the various challenges of fast changing trends in
Music Education. With the support of the top administrators, we will certainly comply all the goals set by
the Program.
